Schenectady Taxes are highest in Capital District {TU}-Chris Churchill

  The City of Schenectady has the region's highest combined property taxes, according to a new review by the Capital District Regional Planning Commission.

  That's nothing new. Schenectady, which has a combined school,county and city property tax rate of $42.03 per $1,000 of home value typically leads the commission's annual survey.

  Scotia has the second highest taxes at $38.44 per thousand and Albany is third at $33.62.
