Seems to me that the whole Sync zoning issue was created while Mr Parisi was the "alledged" town attorney. Very interesting that he opposed the Sync issue when he had a big hand in creating it. Then he throws the building inspector under the bus, along side John Mertz's crumbled body. A real sociopathic dewd that Gerard Parisi!
What exactly was Mr. Parisi's flip flop? He went to COURT and WON to combat Sync's illegal behavior. What more do you want from the man? Yes, he said Sync could APPLY for a zone change. He didn't say he'd GRANT a zone change. And he CERTAINLY did NOT say that he would grant a zone change without requiring Sync to conduct all the necessary studies to determine whether the zone change would be a benefit to the Town. The only thing Parisi did that in any way could be viewed as beneficial to Sync was to not immediately enforce the court order which would have left all the residents homeless. Mr. Parisi did that, not for the benefit of Sync, but the innocent people living there who continue to be victimized by Sync. Seems to me Mr. Parisi's position has been consistent all along, and remains consistent with Bobby Mallozzi, Chairman of the IDA. Hell, even Ron Severson has spoken at meetings saying the same things as Mr. Parisi.
As far as throwing a building inspector under the bus, Mr. Parisi did no such thing. At the last meeting, Andy Brick stated on the record that the building inspector inspected the apartments. Mr. Parisi, doing his due diligence as a Board member (and not just agreeing with anything Brick and Bob God say) asked the building inspector whether it was true that there had been an inspection. The building inspector said it was not true. I don't think Parisi threw the building inspector under the bus...He did throw Brick under the bus for lying to the Town Board about whether town employees did or did not perform a task. Where is the outrage focused at that!? Why didn't Godlewski, FDG, DiLeva, or Martin ask the building inspector whether he performed the inspection? The Board allowed an attorney to lie, and they did NOTHING to find the truth!
Thank god Mr. Parisi is up there to stand up for what it is right and just!

The only conflicts of interest that have been demonstrated are those concerning Brick, Liccardi, Godlewski, Leary...Oh and the criminal in the clerk's office....

I gotta agree with black spidey on this one ... Parisi made the rest of the board look like a$$es for not verifiying that there had been an inspection COMPLETED. Even FDG didnt have a defense to that except to say that he'd "been in his office ... people belong there .. there's no reason why they shouldn't be there" ... but he never admitted there wasn't an inspection, intentionally deceiving the public and the town board. The fact is, the property was NOT inspected and given a clean bill of health .. which COULD open the town up to more litigation.

Sync doesn't have the $$ the other coporations did to do all sorts of studies that other companies can. And whats the point? The place has been a place of living for the last 60 years. GP is just pro-Rotterdam Ventures and it was all over everything he said. Hell, the last TB was ousted because they were against Sync getting the zoning.
This entire town board has an ego problem. ALL OF THEM! As far as 'flip flopping'....they have ALL demonstrated that in these last few months. They ALL flip flop! That is the beauty of this little rotterdam sh!thole that people call home. It doesn't matter who ya vote in.....it's politics and politicians as usual!
They can campaign on 'revitalizing', 'hopie changie', 'lower taxes'....it really doesn't matter....In the end, they are all alike.

There is a principle upon which this great nation was founded: we are a nation of laws, not of men. When we created this fine government (once again, I humbly write under the alias publius in honor of those whom have used it before myself), we did so in order that the richest man and the poorest man would have the same access to government. This does not mean that the rich man pays more for a service because he has money, or that that the poor man pays less because he doesn't have the money. Rather, ALL (wo)men have the same opportunity to seek a service from government.
Now, that a service costs money, is no reason to change the rules based on the ability for an individual to pay. Mr. Brick, speaking on behalf of Sync said that Sync KNEW THAT THE PROPERTY WAS ZONED INDUSTRIAL. Therefore, they knew or should have known that a zone change would be required and that such a change would cost money. If they did not have the money, they should NOT have bid. They bid, ergo they must comply with the LAWS of the land.
GO BLACK SPIDEY!! Unfortunately, most of the residents are uninformed and so quick to spout off before knowing ALL of the FACTS. This town board is like watching a B-Grade Wild West movie... They just keep costing the taxpayers money in law suits that we will find ourselves in.

Then I assume no co's were given either. I think that's how it works. The last board should have had the cojones to remove them from the premises. It sounds heartless yes but we all have to go through proper procedures why didn't they. Why do residents living in this town be made to jump thru hoops to get something done and these folks move in and squat.

What is your problem with the zoning? The company purchased the property legally and when the last TB (the one financially backed by Rotterdam Ventures) tried to screw Sync out of it we got all this trouble. The last TB wanted Sync to just give Rotterdam Ventures an access road (the 3rd, not the 2nd like others have said) to get zoning. Honestly wtf, the property has been residential for 60 years, why is this even being discussed?
