It kills the Regressives to see progress being made under Democrats. The Regressives want to go back to the "good old days" when the GOP was picking clean the dead carcass of downtown Schenectady.

I wouldn't care if it was REP, IND or the Green Party in control in Schenectady. The fact is that all the businesses downtown do not pay taxes!! The City of Schenectady has given millions of dollars in tax breaks plus millions of dollars in grants to the downtown owners. By doing this, the average homeowner and taxpayer has been stuck with the bills for the improved sidewalks, lighting, paving of roads, maintenance, etc.
This downtown renewal has forced hundreds of taxpayers to move, foreclose or abandon their properties. Now the City is looking to the Churches for money. Metroplex is a corrupt club of nepotism which is systematically robbing from the middle class to support big business.
Another great improvement project for Downtown Schenectady -- Great work by Ray Gillen, the Democratic County Legislature, and Metroplex as they continue to work together to make Schenectady County a great place to live, to work, and to do business.
Yep, "work by.....Schdy Co" taxes even higher, work together to cause necessary life saving services to be cut in the city, work together to bring gin mills to downtown which leave the honest, law abiding homeowners without police because ALL police have to respond to the dem's gin mills, etc.

How ironic that the architect on many of the Metroplex projects is now "purchasing" this building. Gillen "refused to discuss any sale the property" because Schenectady taxpayers would probably ask him to resign! Another downtown property given away to a connected Plex friend, most likely tax exempt for 25 years and another tax burden for the middle class taxpayers and homeowners of Schenectady.
Gillen should come clean and tell the taxpayers how much he "sold" this buidling for and how much tax they'll pay.

Metrograft is a huge income transfer from suburbanites to connected developers. Under the REPS City Council/County Downtown was booming with retail not taxpayer supported gin mills/burrito shoppes. Prediction: This will be another Death Ray/Savage no property tax special. Take it out of the golf fund!
