Quoted Text
Quoted from Cicero:
Thank goodness our fore fathers were smart enough to see the imperfections of democracy and put limits as to the number of years between elections to prevent any permanent damage caused by the temporary lapse of judgment by the electorate.

Unfortunately, a great deal of damage can be done in 2 years or 4 years.  Look at the assault on American traditional values and
individual rights and freedoms that Obama has waged in only 15 months.

It will take decades for our town to recover from the ineptitude of the current Town Board.

Thanks to Joanne for the video coverage and to the others of you for the reports on last night's meeting.  Several
things became obvious to me in reviewing.

  • Despite Parisi's assertion that DelGallo is illiterate, Frank can read, though clearly with difficulty.
  • The Supervisor is not the individual who is running the town.  He is a sock puppet IMHO
  • There is seemingly a clear disregard for the rule of law and procedure by those on the Town Board  Much like
Representative Alcee Hastings, the Democrats "make up the rules as they go along"

Well....it was ND's turn to vote on the appointment to an assessment review committee of a resident who was present at the meeting. ND went into her usual 'soprano's rant' and chastised this resident in front of the entire TB, 'for the record'. ND defended her 'no' vote based on the fact that this resident told ND, in passing one day at town hall, that she thought this was the worst town board ever and that this would be a one term town board. (I'm sure I'm not quoting exactly...but I'm close) ND stated that it was a bad day for her since it was the anniversary of her father's death. Then to be confronted with a resident who disagrees with this board (duh), she just couldn't bring herself to vote 'yes' for this resident!!!

Folks, my jaw hit the floor!!!! ND is obviously a really 'short fuse', loose cannon, raucci style town board official. That would be like saying, 'you didn't vote for me, so I will never support your issues'. This town board is beyond reproach. But this latest action by ND breaks all limits!!!

She, as well as the other elected officials, are in a position to represent ALL residents of rotterdam. Not just the ones that are up your a$$. ND has clearly turned this into a personal vendetta, bully pulpit!!! Rotterdam is in deep sh!t!!! And factorfiction is correct.....it will take decades more to undo the damage that this town board has and will continue to create.

Time to move up and out of rotterdam!!!  REALLY!!!

BT--your comments are laughable at best.  The damage that has been done was begun at the hands of ST and his henchmen.  He ran this town into the toilet.  Everything the former board did was personal and for self-aggrandizement.  They ran the town as if the residents were all dead.  It was the most partisan board ever.  They had no interest in anyone else's agenda but their own.  It would have continued too if Babyface Mertz and the fantasy boys didn't begin the NNTP.  It will take yeaqrs of Dem control to FIX everything that ST and the gang did wrong.

But I will agree that ND always seems to be on the bully pulpit.  But isn't she another that was a Rep before she was a Con?

Boomer--I guess by fix all the things the previous administration did wrong, you mean in order to return the town to the "good ol' days" when Jim Constantino ran the show. I have news for you...all the good things that have been done in town hall since he left have been undone in the past three months under the watchful eye of the Democrats who ran under the promise to revitalize rotterdam. Too bad the taxpayers didn't find out the Democrats meant revitalize unethical sleazy behavior before it was too late.

So in the video posted by the Admin, Bob God said one of his areas of expertise is government excess. He must mean he has expertise in promoting government excess....

No no spidey --don't try and hang that Constantino crap on me.  I would bet I am the only Dem and for that matter Rep that threw him off my porch when he cam knocking.  No if you're a dopey Dem or Rep I will tell you.  He was everything you just said.  But ST and his gang were just as bad.  They had no regard for anyone but themselves.

LOL Must be Steve has nothing to do today but blast back to Jim Constantino.  Forget the putrid Signore Admin with the likes of John DeGeorgio (unindicted co-conspiritor with Jimmy) or John MacIsaac, alledged pedophile or the FBI raiding Town Hall, or Tom DeLorenzo's bit part or Joe's girlfriend in the assessor's office getting carted off to jail, or the shady Dagostino appointment for lifetime health insurance for Vince and Ralph.  C'mon Spidey you fer real?

I am I said!!!!!

Let every town resident do what they want.  There are no rules to live by anymore.  As long as you can demonstrate you can make money from your property, it's a go.  Rezones will happen anywhere.  Planning Commission, ZBA, IDA, RCAC, we don't need you.  What you say doesn't mean squat!

I thought Nicki was a HS principal.  Turns out she's just a ill-mannered HS student.  Many thanks to the town resident who stood up and pointed out her unprofessional statements and rudeness.

Civility is gone people.

Good thing they are looking out for my "agenda" as well.

As to that last video, I think MM was right in what he said.  The TB member next to him (her name doesn't come to mind at the moment) was wrong in her personal comments made about the lady in front of the whole room.  Vote yes, vote no, but keep that stuff to yourself.
