I don't know who said it, but I found it quoted somewhere online, and the poster was not sure either. However it echos something I said  repeatedly during the Clinton presidency: "The Clintons were not the disease, they were a symptom."

I feel that way about most Democrat leaders now, since they are simply tyrants, statists, buffoons and communists, pretending to just be socialists. But the people who gloriously rush them into power i.e. the electorate; they are the sick ones.

The funny thing is... The party that sells themselves as the cure to this sickness, is the same party of buffoons that the electorate run away from when they abuse the power when in the majority.  I wouldn't call the electorate the sick ones.  I would liken the electorates choice of candidates to a choice between brain cancer or liver cancer.  Both diseases will make you go broke treating them, and ultimately kill you in the end.
