What time did the circus lights go out last night? It was a long one. I hope that something comes out of the rezoning of the depot. I feel for the residents of Dolan Drive as it appears they're now backed into a corner with Golub getting their rezoning.
Don't know her - but that's who clubhouse said it was. I know Peeper, and she wasn't up there. I don't know what Diane Martin looks like. The fill-in was young and had long dark brown hair.
The guy next to me, who is only there out of being an interested citizen (with no issues in his back yard or anything), said to me "This is better than being home watching TV!" Another person who is a registered democrat, approached me and said to me "there is so much dissension and confusion in this group, something is wrong."
I think the biggest news was the obvious schism in the board. If the dems don't hold fast and have party unity 100% then their model will break down. Miss Dileva is obviously starting to use her own mind. it will be interesting to see how that plays out, coupled with the friction between her and Bob G. They were very touchy about things, very on-edge, and certain people obviously tested their limits through out the evening in differing ways. Frank looks like he is trying to feel his oats and is even engaging with the "customers" as I figured him to want to do. i doubt the party leaders will keep him quiet for long.
Holy mackerel! How interesting to political watchers!
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Not as exciting as the Mickey Mouse show during privilege of the floor was a resident asking if the minutes of all town meetings could be posted on the Town's website...then residents wouldn't need to attend all meetings in order to know what is going on in their town. RG served up another "sandwich" answer indicating that they were looking into posting the videos. Apparently other towns have this info posted on their websites but Rotterdam, a nice place to live, doesn't feel it is necessary to keep their residents informed. So in Rotterdam, if we want to get our hands on the minutes, do we FOIL? Doesn't seem right...does it?
Just a matter of time ND would be at odds with someone on the board. I could see that the day they swore her in. She also is a little short on social skills. Scary to think she is a principal. FDG is used to running the show in business and doing it well. He'll start pushing back litlle by little. Lots of trouble brewing because there seems to be so much dissension.
Miss Dileva is obviously starting to use her own mind.
I was surprised to hear ND speak her mind and go against the grain. It almost looked as though MM had a mind of his own but he quickly reverted back to the party's decision to vote Yes on the rezone.
Didn't see him, but doesn't mean he wasn't there. We'll have to check with the Fire Marshall to make sure we're not having too many people in the meeting room. Seems to be packed every meeting now.
An another note, Judy Dagostino did again come to the meeting. I guess once there wasn't an overabundance of Republicans on the board, she felt that she could start coming to the meetings again. I didn't see her stand up and say anything, but she was there. Be nice for her at one of the meetings to let us know that she saved the little league fields for us...that she originally cost us. I'm just waiting for that zone change to come up.
