And Mertz?  Just because you were once a loyal party servant, doesn't excuse any and all actions AGAINST the party/elected officials.

First you bash FS, over Amedore, now you bash FS because you say he won't disagree with sitting Reps? Which is it?

Schenectady County’s newest frenemies!
June 7, 2010 at 1:00 pm by Lauren Stanforth

A reader was nice enough to send in a photo of 105th Assemblyman Republican George Amedore with now opponent Democratic Schenectady County legislator Angelo Santabarbara.

The photo was apparently used in Santabarbara’s campaign literature when he was running for county leg a few years ago. At the time, Santabarbara was a Republican.

Are you referring to the victim or the perpetrators here? If it is the victims you are referring to....than it should be across the board. RAPE IS RAPE!!!! It is the 'act' that is punishable! MURDER IS MURDER! It shouldn't matter if they are 5, 50 or 80 year as old. They are ALL victims of the same crime.

YES-Rape is Rape and Murder is Murder but each situation needs to be punished differently--otherwise why have a judge in the court of law? Why have a attorney to represent each side? NYS needs to break down into different categories
Rape is rape but adults vs children is definitely a whole different animal. Punishments should reflect the crime accordingly.

You're kidding here right? 'Why have a judge'? How bout to uphold the law and sentence according to the law?

'why have an attorney'? How 'bout to prosecute an alleged criminal or defend their client? To prove guilty or innocent?

Rape is rape and murder is murder. They are all victims of the same crime!!!

With the dems and cons help!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The cons have infiltrated the dem party. Now the new 'young republicans' will do the same. Like I said before.....it is a dem take over and the dems don't even know it!!!

the cons 'used' the dem party and were welcomed with open arms. Now it's the 'young republican's' turn!

The dem party, as we have know it to be....will become an ideology of the past. It is just becoming the dumping ground for politcal whores!!

Strange bedfellows? You betcha!!

Denial of deal

Marv Cermak

New Democrat Angelo SantaBarbara last weekend finally announced he's going to run for Republican Assemblyman George Amedore's seat in November. That's not exactly a "stop the presses'' story.

Let's go back to the downtown Schenectady New Year's Eve street celebration. County Legislature Chairwoman Sue Savage, grinning from ear to ear as the trite expression goes, came racing over.

"Guess what?'' the Democrat asked me with glee. "SantaBarbara is now a Democrat,'' she said, answering her own question. SantaBarbara is also a Schenectady County legislator.

During the ensuing days, I spoke with some of Ang's ex-Republican pals on the County Legislature and other party people. I also talked with Democrat insiders and got denials when asking if the party switcheroo involved a deal to run for the Assembly.

In retrospect that was a stupid inquiry because we all know politicians don't make deals.

After all the due diligence -- that's a fancy term for homework -- it was time to roll. On Jan. 5, there was mention here that GOPers predicted SantaBarbara would get support for the Assembly run from his newly acquired Democrat brethren.

Well, that guesswork was almost five months ago to the day. And at last, the cat's out of the bag, if I dare use another hackneyed phrase.

Now, the big question is can SantaBarbara win the race? I'll do some more due diligence before taking a shot at that one..................>>>>...............>>>>..............Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/AspS.....Page=2#ixzz0qIW665cV

You TOTALY misunderstood what I was saying BUMBLE--you must be kidding me. What I was SAYING was that WHY else have a judge and attorney IF not to distinguish EACH & EVERY SITUATION as the UNIQUE situation it is --thereby, punishment that reflects the CRIME BUMBLE! COME-ON!!!!!!! Read what I say--don't just jump to a silly conclusion to make your cause viable.
