If FDG wants to run again, he had better do something about the town clerk's incompetence.  I cannot believe a self-made man like him would tolerate this.

Basil--I really can't elaborate on it very much. (the abuse situation)  It didn't begin in Rotterdam but has ended  up here.  It was a case from Albany County that David Soares SALT committee is working on.  It is an abuse case involving power of attorney.

Hold your horses Mary--I am just repeating what I heard.  That was last week. I heard she offered to resign and was told NO.   Maybe things changed this week but I have not heard that. But although I'm a Dem hack you obviously are sleeping with the party since you can't make a go of yours.  So I defer to your knowledge.

FACT...... EE told a resident at TH that she was not going anywhere. Now that was 1 1/2 weeks ago. So things could have changed since.

See...that's why this shouldn't be an elected position. REALLY! It just added one more nail in the 'politics as usual' coffin in rotterdam. And I don't really care if DM or anyone else is the 'clerk'. Again...it is a nothing job. Ya just need to know how to file and type that comes with a glorified job description.

Bottom line....if she committed the crime (that she admitted she did)...then do the time!!! Just like the rest of us!

So far this administration has ....

Supported a town clerk that has admittedly committed fraud

Changes zoning on a piece of property for an owner even though he is deliquent on his taxes, will not answer questions at an open public meeting, supports a fellow dem (JD)that proposed the purchase of a little league field for a quarter of a million dollars, that wouldn't have been necessary if JD didn't sell the original one  right out from under their little feet.

A Soprano style town board member that comes from 'raucci's world'.

A babbling deputy supervisor!

A overly paid 'special secretary' to the supervisor

And it's only been 3 months!!!!

when folks say they tried to resign/quit but it wasn't accepted----that's just another puff to their ego and makes them feel good......this is not charity,,,,it's government....there is a difference.....

No she's not. And if she were to resign, which is highly unlikely, it won't be until Sept. Then Dems/Cons. can appoint someone without a special election. More underhandedness by the current administration. Just add it to the list!

Yes that is exactly right.  Not underhandedness--I think that is pretty smart.

Her notary stamp is only gone until August.  She might be back in business after that.
