Sounds like a good use of taxpayer dollars...NOT! This figure was on WRGB, during a feature on excessive mailing expenditures.

This is  appalling! He campaigned on a message of  eliminating  waste fraud and abuse. Him and his RACC  cronies loved that phrase...I guess he really meant no waste unless it benefits him... From what I hear there are other times GA makes his  political decisions based on how he can personally benefit financially...

no kidding--Tell them all---GET OFF MY BACK.....

You know what the sad thing is....America is the biggest 'engine' in the world....we donate, we fight, we lead etc.....yet our own 'neighbors' here in this country take from each and every person that
which does not belong to them,,,ie: guaranteed pensions, guaranteed raises, subsidies etc etc.......and everything just gets more and more expensive....I cant afford you and you cant afford me

GET OFF MY BACK

This commune experiment has been done before----THERE IS NO MORE STRAW FOR MAKING BRICKS

It's a disgrace! Spending money for campaign mailers!!!! Honestly they are all alike. From the unproductive tax sucking metroplex, to the kick backs in rotterdam, to the law breaking town clerk, to the corrupt police forces, to the favors to the special interest groups, tokosiur's created patronage jobs, to the corrupt ssd, to the unchecked welfare fraud......yup....spending money on campaign mailers is right up there with the rest!

You really want to get sick???   Check out the See Thru NY site disclosing Legislative Expenditures
http://seethroughny.net/Expenditures/ReportType/tabid/82/Default.aspx

and input the last name only in the "employee" field.  Amedore had $189,927 of "personal service" expenses from April 2007 thru March 2009.

Could be a few of the reasons why the Rotterdam Reps want to support a new face in the Assembly.

What I really love about the mailers is how we get them from people who are supposedly fighting for smaller government, then it ends up being a mailer teliing about every government program in the state that you can apply for.  This was one of Hugh Farley's latest mailings.

I see in the other thread a lot of people are fighting like children, calling each other names, telling lies, and criticizing everyone that can be remotely connected to either Parisi or Amedore. I have an actual, I think, legitimate question, especially in this time of anti-incumbent mentality in the State: What has Amedore done that makes him worthy of the public trust to continue to represent us in the Assembly? I don't say this because I have something against him personally, I ask because honestly I think all incumbents should be run out of town, unless there is some major reason why Amedore is different, I see no reason to keep him there when we flush the proverbial toilet.

Seems to me he hasn't really proposed any real legislation. Most of the bills he has sponsored involved granting property tax exemptions, which in all honesty just has the affect of making us all pick up the burden from the tax revenue lost on those properties. Other bills he sponsored seem like they would result in unfunded mandates on local governments or school districts. Perhaps that's why many of those bills don't have many co-sponsors, including very few members of his admittedly small conference.

Information from here: http://assembly.state.ny.us/mem/?ad=105&sh=sponsor

It is true that Amedore has a high ranking by the Conservative Party, but if he isn't really proactive proposing legislation, and when he does propose legislation, if he can't get other members of his conference to sign on, let alone the Democrats, perhaps it is time to see if someone else can do a better job. It takes more to be an Assemblyman than to blindly follow directions on how to vote. It takes leadership. I remember Amedore campaigning to eliminate the Thruway tolls between exits 25 and 26, those tolls are still there and I've been unable to even find a bill proposing to eliminate those tolls. He has been in favor of raising cigarette taxes, which doesn't seem very conservative to me.

Not only are they still there, they've gone UP.

You bring up some very valid questions.  I don't understand the whole Amedore -v- the world issue either, I'd love to hear the answers on why I should vote for ANY of them

He is what you call "All Talk No Action" --partially b/c of the position he is in but certainly he could propose legislation and be a mouth piece in the media (which he has not been)

If you are OUT OF NY how can you vote for any of them? Or is that just a saying you have adopted?
