4 minutes seems reasonable. Think of all the things we can do in 4 minutes. |

One minute longer than Schenectady |

And let's remember that you have to sign a 'desire to speak' sheet and the subject you wish to address. Then THEY decide who and what subject they will allow. Now that is presently the rule at the city council meetings and the county leg. meetings......coming soon to rotterdam???
And let us remember that as with Schenectady city meetings and the County meetings, now rotterdam has an alloted amount of time to speak. 3 or 4 minutes is probably long enough since the resident will be the 'only' one talking. Remember.....our elected officials will not respond. So it's a one-way dialog! Well, that's what the 'unelected' attorney stated. Never heard a word about it from the 'elected' board members. |

ROTTERDAM
Plan would add 248 units
Proposal would move ball fi elds
BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Plans are afoot to relocate several baseball diamonds and develop land around the former Rotterdam Republican Club off North Thompson Street for residential and retail uses. Timothy Larned and Maria Esposito, the owners of the property, recently submitted plans to the town that include building 248 units of apartments on about 78 acres of land now zoned for heavy industrial uses. The existing ball fields used by the Rotterdam Little League would be moved to a permanent location on about nine acres abutting an area informally known as Murken’s pit. The project was listed on the Town Board’s agenda for Wednesday’s meeting. Board members are expected to forward a proposal for a zone change and planned residential development to the town’s Planning Commission for a recommendation.....
I know it is early, but reading the Gazette this morning, the above piece, all be it a smallportion of the article, maybe I need to get somemore sleep? Did the admin on here edit the agenda on here before posting it? Is Clark Kent of the Gazette confused (or getting an inside track)? Is this the second meeting in a row that items regarding zoningare going to be on the Weds meeting, that weren't on the "draft"? I think there wasmention of this at the last meeting. Nothing like being organized with meetings....... |

The agenda posted on the Town's website doesn't list this item regarding Larned's new project. Another last minute change...when will this one be posted for the public? Pretty slick! Check the "Revitalize Rotterdam" (Dem) campaign donations for the people associated with the agenda items: BTL Properties $750 Larned & Sons $1,500 Tim Larned $1,500 Not to mention the unitemized donations. http://www.elections.state.ny......&CATEGORY_IN=ALL |

Oh I feel secure now! FDG can't read or write or knows how to run a town board meeting. and 'no change' is a wanna be that don't know his back end from his front end! Neither of them carry the support of the majority either! This last sham of keeping information from the residents of this town, coupled with the inability for residents to 'hear' how their elected officials stand on issues (don't ask..don't expect an answer) is just yet another nail in their already half buried coffin. |

Peeper, I posted the gazette quote regarding the non agenda item that is apparently an agenda item and for what it is worth don't think any of the projects are neccessarily bad for Rotterdam, if done right. My issue is that of a Town Board that can add major items to meetings whenever they want, giving the people that go to the meetings no knowledge of what will be the true agenda. Then when there is a "suprise" item on the agenda, which the Board must have some knowledge of to add, they won't answer questions of the people who have issue with the projects and didn't have time to research the discussion. As for FDG, whatever, but I am thinking BG needs one of those cardboard crowns from Burger King. |
