If this administration doesn't start concentrating on improving the country's security we will be hit again and maybe next time lives will be lost.

You are kidding here, right?????  It IS the administration's/government's job to keep us safe....no? Immigration and boarder control is who's responsibility? CIA and FBI is who's responsibility? Homeland Security is who's responsibility? Airport safety is who's responsibility? Sure sh!t happens....but it shouldn't after 911!!! Sh!t happened under clinton's watch and he did nothing! That my friend is one of the reasons why 911 happened!!! Am I blaming that past, weak administration? You betcha. IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY!!! So the blame falls squarely on the government!!! |

Al Quaida are counter-attacking for our own interference in other nations' business. That is not to say we "deserve" it, but if you tell other people how to live, they tend to push back-
Terrorist are weak force pushing back against a strong force that is bullying it (real or perceived bullying).

Sombody,
The difference is, terrorist are ideologically driven to kill Americans and affect public policy and fundamentally change our society. Murder, suicide, and traffic accidents are unfortunate, but they are benign acts that happen within our society.
So yes, it is the role of the government to protect its citizens from foreign invaders who wish to kill Americans with the explicit mission to destroy our nation.
My biggest fear is that there are more people like sombody who cannot distinguish between the two. |
