Brad, anyone wishing to can view your receipts and expenditures for your campaign.  McGarry's also.  What about O'Connor?  What about Mertz?  Can you provide the name of their committee so we can review their receipts and expenditures?

TBV,

I don't know the name of John's committee.  You should be able to search for it by his name from the State Board of Elections web site.

I believe that Michael didn't create a committee or open a campaign account.  He did not accept donations and likely spent less
than the amount for which filings are required.

Your inquiry is best addressed to them.  I had enough work to ensure that my filings were submitted by the required deadlines.

I know you have Brad...but Mertz's account remained at $0 this election cycle.  He didn't raise or spend any money?  You don't have to answer for him...but that is what people are talking about when they criticize the NNTP as being a front.  When your party has 4 people running on its line in the whole country, each individual is defined by the party!

To be clear, I want John to come back to the Reps.  I value him as a fellow Republican.  But he needs to listen to others before I can support him as a leader.  He has to accept his idea is not always the best.

Definition of leader on the Web:
A person who rules or guides or inspires others
A leader by its meaning is one who goes first and leads by example, so that others are motivated to follow him. This is a basic requirement. To be a leader, a person must have a deep-rooted commitment to the goal that he will strive to achieve it even if nobody follows him!

Ok I guess Mertz doesn't fit the bill in this instance.  He has lost his raison d'etre.  "To be a leader, a person must have a deep-rooted commitment to the goal that he will strive to achieve it even if nobody follows him!"  That's the problem HE HAS NO FOLLOWING.  If he keeps this up he will be Tom Buchanan.  HH your wisdom is much appreciated.

Obviously you don't know mertzie! A little common sense would make you realize that if he was going to end up like buchannan, he wouldn't have been outed by buchannan. They would have shared the same vision! Guess they didn't, huh?

Mertzie fits the bill for leadership to a tee. So does Brad.IMHO

Brad are you really going on the record saying the NNTP had no RACC support? I have seen the petitions and I saw sheets collected by staffers to the republicans in  the assembly.  You can try to diminish their help all you want, but the absolute fact remains: NNTP received RACC support! Your personal attacks on greenlantern for calling you out on this out of line. You can't benefit from RACC and now pretend it never happened!!!!

WHY are we concerned about saving PARTIES?????? what do they have? what do they mean? what do they do?

looking at either 'major' parties is like looking at vegetable soup in a trough....they both eat there and share........so why is it about leader of this
party,,,leader of that party....endorsment by this party or that party???? when in fact the political machine in NYS is set up with the system of your's
mine and dont worry about the rest of the machine......

honestly the 2 parties just keep the sheeple in a pen with stale feed.......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

REALLY?

You are clearly pissing in the wind. I know many many many people who supported and put their feet on the ground for the NNTP and I can assure you that there was never ANY support from the RACC!!! Most of these supporters NEVER carried petitions for ANY party ever in their lives. This was their first time!!!

Admit it spidey.....THEY DID IT ALL ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT A MAJOR PARTY!!!!!!!! And the vibrations are still being felt through the county!! It certainly appears that it was either the idea of a third party option or the presentation from these 4 guys......but we can't dismiss the fact that this third party option is gaining momentum with the electorate.

There is no' absolute fact' spidey....again.....you're just pissing in the wind! IMHO

Are we detecting a little paranoia here?

black spidey,

I don't know which petitions you are referring to.  Signatures on the Designating petitions for the Conservative Party primary were collected
by Brian McGarry and me.  I did not see the Designating Petitions for the Republican Party primary because neither my name nor McGarry's
were on the petitions and as an enrolled Conservative, we could not circulate those petitions.

The signatures on the Independent Nominating Petitions for the No New Tax Party ballot line were collected overwhelmingly by Brian, me, our
family members, supporters from several Tea Party organizations, and friends.

And, the funding for the expenses of which I am aware were paid almost exclusively from Brian and my campaign accounts.  There were NO
contributions to our accounts from any state party.

The information is disclosed on my campaign filings that are available for inspection at the NYS Board of Elections web site.

It is unfortunate that rather than take responsiblity for the failures of the local Republican party that resulted from the lack of principled leadership and conservative values, you continue to seek to blame others for your losses.  Your party will not be rebuilt until and unless an honest self-assessment is made.

Mike O was going to registered Reps in my neighborhood getting signatures for the Rep primary and I saw the petition when I signed it.

The accusations by greenlantern and black spidey are attempts to discredit the candidates who ran on the No New Tax Party and
diminish the opinions, views and power of those who supported them.

What some don't seem to understand is that this is not about Mertz, O'Connor, McGarry, and Littlefield.  The No New Tax Party
and other independent third party ballot lines and candidates, constitute a national movement supported by those who have had
enough of the status quo of governance.  They (we) have had enough of self serving politicians who place their interests and
those of their campaign donors and special interest groups before the voters who elected them.  Even NYS Governor Paterson
seems to have had an awakening and is now calling for ethics reform.

The names will change over time.  But, the American people, and particularly those who believe in traditional American values,
will continue to take action to reform government.  There will be others who will run for office on the NNTP in 2010 and 2011.  The
Republican party can work with the Tea Party movement or dismiss them and be defeated.

Brad for President!  Holy sh%t ~ nobody says it better!

The Reps completely underestimated McGarry and Littlefield ~ you're right ~ it's not about Mertz (I know for a fact that after the primary he was shut down).

Give credit where credit is due ~ Littlefield for President!   That's not poking fun at you Brad, you get it, your vision is a lot bigger than District 4!

Smart + articulate + independent = no matter Buchanan didn't want him.

"The REPS can work with the Tea Party movement or dismiss them and be defeated" Brad Littlefield,

They have an opportunity at the REP Sunday sitdown to either change leadership, work with Tea Part patriots, start winning-OR-do nothing and keep imploding. It's that simple-the status quo is not an option. Take the olive branch out of the car and present it to NNTP leaders.
