So they are into the Planning Commission members now I hear by rescinding a recent reappointment.  Sounds like they want to replace everyone on boards/councils???

Didn't know there was that much interest in the town folks to hold positions.

That is what the major parties do to re-pay their supporters. Patronage jobs! IF the NNTP candidates had won, and as long as the present full time/part time employees were doing their 'needed' job, I believe that there would have been no 'terminations'. That is just one of many benefits of voting for a third party candidate.

The dems/reps/cons....all the same!

They lost ONLY because of the NNTP and their support of a taxing district for REMS!

And 'rambling on and on no change'.....UH YUP!

They are all the same! The dems will be no different.

The rep party needs to re-group with the third parties that are ready to step in!!! THAT will be REAL CHANGE!!

The people who work in town hall should not have been terminated solely because of their political affiliations.  To sever an
employee's service to the town is a disservice to the residents if that employee was performing the duties of his/her
office satisfactorily.  The costs associated with onboarding a new employee, both the administrative and training costs,
and the ramp up to efficiency can be considerable.

I am surprised that Mr. DelGallo would agree to this action.   If the vacated positions are filled by members of the
ruling party, it will be testament to political partisanship and vengeance.  If, however, the positions are not filled,
the reduction in staff will be viewed by the public as cost containment/reduction.

Unfortunately, the adage "what goes around, comes around" is applicable here.  It is not fair treatment regardless
of who orders the terminations.  The lives of friends, neighbors, and residents that are being impacted.

Mr Littlefield-Did you feel the same way when the previous Admin. let go the likes of Ms Riitano, Mr Macejka, Mr Brick, Mr Marx, Ms. Fuller, Mr Longo, Ms. Ferrucci, Ms. Bradt.  I don't think so by the way some of these folks were publically slammed on this very REP board.  Just a thought, nothing personal.

Peeper,

I was not involved in political affairs at that time.  But, I stand by my position that terminating employees based
solely on political affiliation is improper and unwise.  I understand that this is common in government.  But, unless
an employee is found to be insubordinate and working to undermine an administration, I believe such actions to be
ill advised.

Just my $0.02.

And Peeper, you can call me Brad.

What you're not understanding "di" is that this isn't a "rep" board ... this is a random crosscut of rotterdamians, and other interested parties that are tired of the bull - republican or democrat - and want REAL change.  Mickey mouse could have won over Tommasone with a spoiler in the race (NNTP) - just like Howdy Doody will win over Obama in the next election.  We're not "republican" or "democrat" for the most part - we're concerned citizens that are tired of being taken advantage of, by EITHER party, solely for the betterment and advancement of the candidates and their political allies.

Just my point why we need the NNTP and their followers to take over the rep party. The dems and the reps and the cons all work out of the same play book.

And to think fdg and crew ran on a REFORM platform! What a joke! They are clearly no different than the present reps and cons. Same dirty politics out of the same political play book. It's so pathetic, that its just too funny!

How do the county dems and city dems say it...oh yeah......WORKING TOGETHER!

Um are you kidding me?  He is just their puppet and they used Mr. Delgallo for his money to
get elected.   Now it is just sad.

You all wanted change....well you got it....

HH- Peeper makes a good point.  All those people were excellent at their jobs.  Some of those people who lost their jobs under the horrible Steverino had their positions dissolved for political reasons only.  Not to save money.

Cannot understand why Aragosa gets a stipend.  Cannot understand why he wasn't let go.  And Mr. Surpirse needs to LEAVE THE BUILDING SOON.

Just like Macjecka! Proves my point yet again on how these political parties are one in the same.

The NNTP and followers need to take over the rep party....NOW! The electorate wants integrity, honesty, transparency, fairness and fiscal responsibility. Something the current reps, dems and cons can't produce.

They are all the same!!!
