I predict that Schenectady City Police Department Commissioner Bennett will retire or resign his position in 2010.
An appointment of someone from within the existing local political scene with law enforcement experience and
service will be made to fill the vacated position.

I predict that DSS will move into the Rotterdam Industrial Park, that Bethesda House will sell its structure to a major hotel chain and buy a resort in Princetown, that Brian Stratton will finally get his calling to DC and McCarthy will take over as mayor and the ANGELO SANTABARBARA will go straight to HELL for being the jerk that he is!

Okay?

I agree with the DSS prediction. It will end up at in Rotterdam. Industrial Park? The old grand union (hamburg St)? The old draper school?
The city now has the vehicle to move their sh!t to Rotterdam. They clearly have a ready, willing an able county/town board! BEND OVER ROTTERDAMIANS.....here it comes!

I predict that there will be a renewed push for consolidation of the police departments countywide.  It will
begin again with pressure from Schenectady City Mayor Stratton.

Now that local elections are concluded and Dagostino has landed in the Sheriff's Department, the past
opponents of this plan (Savage and the County Legislature) will support the call with the Rotterdam force
being the first to be merged, Glenville P.D. to be the last.

I totally agree!

I predict that the 2011 county budget will include an increase in the tax levy of 11% to 18%.  With the decreases in federal and state
revenues and increases in the cost of unfunded mandates, the property tax impact will be a double digit increase.

I predict that Susan Savage will announce her interest in challenging Jim Tedisco for his NYS Assembly seat.
I also predict that Tedisco will face a primary challenge for the Republican party endorsement.

I thought that Jimmy was for term limits? LOL-for everyone else?

Predict Peter G will be the new Assemblyman beating Savage (if she runs). Joe Suhrada will be the new GOP Chair. Brad Littlefield will win Assembly after George Amedore takes the State Senate. John Mertz will make a political comeback. Mayor Stratton will take a job with the State and Sharon Jordan will be named new Mayor. A businessman from Schenectady will run against Tonko-and win!

I only see that scenario if Tedisco is (again) endorsed for the 20th Congressional District race.
If this endorsement is made, I expect a challenge from the right.

I predict that an event of national importance and significance will take place in the Capital District that will unite the
conservative coalition of the Republican party with the Tea Party movement.

Rep. Michele Bachmann will be reelected, despite the fact that Pelosi has put a target on her back, as the No. 1 rep. that Pelosi would like the Dems to defeat.

OMG Sunnie57 I hope you're not right. Maybe Pelosi needs to put a BIGGER target on her back.  She is an embarassment and a fool.  She makes Sarah look smart.
