PG 13- It may be more than "ethical" trouble.  Don't think you should underestimate Salami--he may have just been playing with you.  He seems to be right alot.  I hope you are not betting on JM to be "star of the show."  He is pretty finished.  No following. They need new blood but more than that they need somebody who IS smart and ethical and likable would help...a Guidarelli type guy.  I hope Peter Guidarelli goes for Tedesco's seat.  NNTP was a good idea but as a group they couldn't get the job done.

John Mertz has bigger fish to fry. Why should he run for the lowly Town Board again? Been there-done that. Right person-wrong office. The field is now wide open now for all the former NNTP boys.

Perhaps this has been the con's plan all along. What better way of getting rid of the sitting reps? Just endorse the dems. THEN when the mission is accomplished, drop the dems and support and endorse the 'selected' reps. Stranger things have happened and nothing would surprise me anymore.

That is why I said the "unexpected" unquote>>>........  The unexpected must be what Peeper is referring to as "legal problems".  I assume he/she is
referring to the NYS Comptroller's Office audit that has not been made public yet.  Although I have not heard there will be legal problems- just ethical
ones.  For the Republicans, I think GP would be a great choice to fill the vacant seat.  He would represent what is left of that party well.  Heck, by 2014 the
Rep's may be able to come back into power.

NYS is full of ethics issues---BOTH parties included------no remarks from either party or unions ieruno,,,,the silence is deafening........
I would say NYS has grassroots ethics issues...........

What would the "mission" be?

Joe Bruno is a nice guy too, but headed for jail.  Mr DellaVilla will have a hefty legal bill, maybe a nice guy but he has "legal" problems on the horizon.  Ethics law violations turn into real legal issues.  Ask Elliot Spitzer's cronies about that one.  I don't know Mr Parisi but hasn't Rotterdam voters made it clear?  They are tired of this REP administrations politics!  Pure and simple the people will revolt and Article 78's are brewing.

Salami--Mertz has bigger fish to fry?  Have you ever seen "The Godfather?"  Mertz was  a bad Don.  People want a change.  That was what the vote was about.

And the field is wide open?  I think it still is a "little" field for the NNTP.  They need to affiliate with a major party.

Why not look to Mary Barrie to fill the seat or Carolina Lazzari or even Tomaselli if he is serious about running for Supervisor.  Suhrada would have been an interesting pick.  At least he has experience.  Although I am a Joe Bruno fan, I have to agree look where he is headed.  Great guy but look at him now.

Heard there is a big Conservative gathering in January.  Not sure what it is about.

The NYS Comptroller's and the NYS Attorney General's offices need to cast a wider net.  They may have snared a small fish, but there are sharks in the waters. IMHO

Suhrada would have been a wonderful choice. What they need is a seat warmer. Both Tomaselli and Salamone are brilliant up and comers. Carolina is too qualified-she should take over as Chair.

Suhrada is a retread. Putting that aside, he also supported and campaigned on a tax district for REMS. Rotterdam does not need another taxing district.

I know nothing about Tomaselli.

Salamone is associated with the WFP, so that would be a definate 'no'.

Carolina had her day in the sun. She is better as a behind the scenes person. IMHO

A mole tells me GP is being put on as a board member tonight!  I haven't heard about any special meeting, but that is the word.
Salamone turned it down... Not interested...  Should make for some interesting Board meetings.
