I don't understand.  He fought so hard, and meddled in Rotterdam politics even though he's not a resident to destroy the local party, now he's abandoning the party and not stepping up and rebuilding?  I thought he would have been one of the major players in the rebuild.

Benny, what are you registering as?

From what I understand, you acted upon those words.

Benny? A leader..... LOL. The Repub's enrollment numbers continue to shrink and they can't run to the door
fast enough. It is too funny! Isn't there a single leader among any of you? Just one?

Buchannan, the greatest thing to every happen to the Sch'dy Democratic Party. ROTFLMAO!!! And there isn't
a single Republican out there to take the reins. Bob Farley, Angelo Santabarbara and Jim Buhrmaster equals zero leadership. Mike Mansion--- LOL, Tom Neals--- LOL, City Chair ________ LOL, GP?---LOL.

Hey Rene', here is your calling. It's time you took this sinking ship over and showed them how to lead. You have to be getting bored with your current situation by now.

Rene' for Chairwoman!!!

Yeah...I was being facetious, I should have used the proper tic after the statement.

All of these new candidates that ran on the NNTP must delete the "dead enders" like salami and gadfly from their contacts list.  They are nothing more than agitators in it for their own personal entertainment.  They are drama queens, and political chameleons, willing to stick the knife in anybody's back if given the opportunity.  I shouldn't be so harsh on Gadfly, after all, she did at least take the lead and organized the efforts to change the Conservative Party leadership.  Benny, I can't say the same. He is more interested in trying to make sure his silly prediction come true, ore he's the guy on the inside with the "scoop".

So benny's loyalties lie.....where??? Only registered BLANKS have no loyalties. That's the beauty about being a BLANK!

Gadfly didn't "change the Conservative Party Leadership" any more than Jimmy the hooper did with his tens of thousands in donations in the failed coup.
Any attempts to enroll Repubs in Conservative garb and ATTEMPT TO make a power play will be dealt with as quickly and easily as before times 10.

Oh Papa, I know they are stupid but are they that stupid? The present leadership have added many a dozens more supporters over the last few years. Some may have changed their enrollments but it must be just for cover cause anything else would be a laugher.

I said efforts.

I think the Copservative Party owes a debt of gratitude to the NNTP for paving the way for the them to have seats on the town board.  I feel this will be short lived though.  Let's not forget, Steve T and the Republicans destroyed them in the election prior to this most recent one.  The Conservatives didn't endorse one Republican in that election and they went from majority to super majority.  So I think the Conservative Party executive board should send their nemesis Mr. Mertz a Christmas card for making their dreams come true.

If this NNTP coalition stays together, it would prove to swing elections more than the Copservative party.  IMHO

I think that is taking a very narrow view. To believe such rubbish, one would have to ignore the results in Glenville, Niskayuna, District 3 races, District 4 races, Princetown and Duanesburg not to mention the 4th judicial judgeship races. Each race in ALL of these places were greatly influenced by the CP line. To believe otherwise, one must be drinking Buchannan's Kool-Aid. Rotterdam's victorious candidates were helped to a large extent not only by having the CP line but their assistance in the ground game which was the difference, IMHO.

The CP now has seven elected officials in office and their endorsed candidates won every race throughout the county.

Well, I was speaking directly to the recent Rotterdam Town Board races.  And please don't tell me you believe that the CP endorsement means anything in any other district besides Rotterdam.  Register Conservatives outside of Rotterdam are anemic.  CP leadership endorse candidates they believe will win.  Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter to them.

Lets look at the facts.  How many times did Tommasone run for town council and lose?  Then he ran along with Mertz and wins.  The Conservative Party vows to destroy the Rotterdam Republican majority after Mertz and company form the police commission.  So they don't endorse a single Republican in the following election, and they expand to a SUPER MAJORITY.  Republican leadership decides to un-endorse Mertz.  Tommasone runs with Suhrada and Signore and all three lose.  NNTP candidate O'Connor runs in Republican Primary and share campaign sign with Mertz -  O'Conner WINS!

You say narrow view, and yes narrow in regards to Rotterdam politics.  But McGarry received 17% of the vote with no other line but the NNTP line.  I highly doubt a candidate that was only endorsed by the CP line would receive 17%. JMHO

Conservative Party line receives 617 for Town Supervisor
NNTP line receives 1493 for Town Supervisor

If I'm running for office in Rotterdam, I want the NNTP endorsement.

The only place one could vote for Brian was on the NNTP line. Will there be a NNTP in 2010? Once Steverino lost the CONS line it was all over.

They're all gone-Tommasone, Signore, MDV, Strachi, Howdy Doody, Moe Green, Cuneo, Sal, Puddy Cat...
Who was the genius that told Joe Suhrada to run for Town Board? Try pinning that one on the NNTP!

Gee, that's funny, how can you make that claim when the Republicans didn't have the CP endorsement when they took a super majority. You guys are overstating the influence of the CONS.  The NNTP was the deciding factor in this election.  The CONS, REPUBS, & DEMS need to humble themselves and admit the obvious.

Hard to compare numbers when the CP candidate had another line for people to pull. Apples and Oranges...
