Yeah--what am I chopped liver?  Of course lots of us are still in the workforce.  I don't think all the folks have worked for the state.  Why criticize people's vocations.  Because you just don't get it.  Stop already.  The election is over.  FDG and the gang are in and your team is out.  That's the way the pendulum swings.

MT whether you live here or NC or China is of no importance to me.  You're a pundit who called it all wrong and I didn't and that's why you guys are always attacking me.  You and BT are trolls of the worst kind.  Basless accusations and no substance.  Talk about empty.

Boy, now there's an attitude with Catholic emphasis humility.  blah blah blah - you were wrong and I was right -  blah blah blah.  I bet you sucked up and kissed your teachers a** after school every day too, huh?

Have a nice life troll, I'm done with you.

Let the dweebs go home Cal.  Its over for them and we should now rejoice and be proud!  I am headed out of town for a few days and when I return, I will be watching the slow decent of the Tommasone regime and will lite a candle as their emotions smolder into ash!  Good Night Irene.

ROTTERDAM
Budget upsets new board members
Democrats accuse outgoing Republicans of ‘low-balling the accounts’

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

Members of the Town Board passed the 2010 budget Tuesday, but not before making a few last minute changes to the ire of the incoming Democratic majority.
The four Republican board members attending the meeting — three of whom lost their re-election bids last week — approved a $20.4 million spending plan after reducing spending by $80,910. Outgoing Supervisor Steve Tommasone said the funding cuts were made in part to reduce the dependency on the fund balance, which was tapped again this year to avoid a residential tax increase.
But several of the board’s incoming Democrats didn’t view the funding cuts as favorable. Robert Godlewski, who was among three incoming board members attending the meeting, bristled at the changes, accusing the outgoing administration of setting them up for failure by creating an untenable budget situation that will ultimately lead to increases. .................>>>>..............................>>>>..........http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00901&AppName=1

Reading that story, it doesn't appear FDG was at the meeting.  Must have been after 6pm

MM-considering your following wants you to resign, feeling warm and fuzzy inside must beat feeling like throwing up because you helped screw them out of the election.  Back to the bunker till you get a clue.

a 20 million dollar budget, they cut spending by 80,000? which is accounted for by removing auriela L position and decreasing town attorney fees.

check my math please but isnt that a decrease by .004 percent

the repubs are realy trying to handcuff the dems into failure....... right.........

they are gonna hire their own lawyer and pay em what they want, which would equal out to the cuts the repubs made to aurielas position and decrese in fees to town attorneys.

why not hire some kids right out of law school, or some interns, and try and actually meet that 65,000 set budget

I think they should have cut the EMS funding also. I think that needs to be started at square one again.

23yankee what would you cut???
tell us....about Baseball Economics

why not just get law students - it could be their final -they could work for FREE- what do you think MM

Albany Law  -click, dial tone,  1 ringie dingie, - Hello.

Then they will pass the PMI and get State jobs

btw use 13.x million for your math, sewer and water are split up and not for everyone

if your are lucky you might find $150,000- 200,000

street lights - at least we would see where our money went, some $85K of it.

Police - the whole  5+million of it with benefits almost 48% of13.x million.
just think we wont be spending 5 mil on filling out arrest paper work for stealing a $1.99  pair of panties from walmart - just think of the man hours used on this

or spending 5 million patrolling the super 8 motel lot for cut thrus
or 5 million to raise $400K+ in revenue

Why not pass that off to the State boys -there at Stewarts most of the time - they are also better looking

or the 4% raises for all non union employees of the town

hell, make the town council like a school board  - FREE

make water and sewer Free, as SAL says

toss out a pitch there Don or

I think yankee's point was that whatever the present adm decreased the budget by....the incoming adm can just increase it back. What would the difference be?  The only part I found strange was taking the dep. supervisor's $1500 back. I was against that from the dayit was proposed. So I'm glad to see that go. IMHO
