we are all very shortsighted here........the issue is being finished with the DEMS AND REPS.......I really dont
give a hoot about either party.......the dems have just wrote their death ticket with national healthcare...
and Poedunk Rotterdamians are still stuck in their 50 by 50 yards complaining about what their neighbors
have over them and how they started off a rosy day until they looked at their tax bill and had to 'deal'.....

the issue is BIGGER than Rotterdam/Schenectady/New York.......pay attention.....

NNTP---is not for the faint of heart.....the constitution is our foundation NOT the Dems or the Reps that are all
millionaires in our representation........again---SHOW ME THE $$ TRAIL........

I could care less about mertzie and if he stays or goes. That is not the point I'm trying to make. Simple logic would prove that the NNTP candidates ran on a platform entirely different than the dem/lib platform. People who are conservative are not going to vote the dem/lib line. Simple logic. Just like a lib isn't going to vote a rep/con line....based on ideology.

These guys were either registered reps or cons. And lets put party labels aside and just look at the fact that these guys campaigned as staunch cons. That was their message. That was the message I got from them.

I believe that s.t. would have been re-elected if there wasn't a row F.  I didn't vote for him. But he only lost by a couple hundred votes. I'm sure he would have garnered those votes and more if Row F wasn't there.  That's the way I see it. IMHO

The real issue that no one has mentioned is Mary Magdalene has been AWOL.  Correspondingly so has Sal.
I am calling on the RPD to check all bunkers and bars.  Get an APB out immediately.

We are concerned. I will ask Father Morrette to check parish marriage records. This is very unusual.

Ben I think it would be an "inter" ideology marriage--check Eunice's records as well.  Probably would be a civil ceremony.

I wouldn't have Rotterdam's newest Alzheimers patient marry me.

MARY!!!!!!!!  This is exactly why you guys fell out of favor with the electorate.  It is mean-spiritedness.  Uncalled for.  Come out of the bunker--admit what you did and go on from there.  Eunice won and she didn't need five lines to do it.  Fiorillo was NO match for Eunice.  For somebody with your legal background and supposed poltical background you ran a poor campaign--not just in Rotterdam but in the City/County as well.  Get a new hobby.

Cal....what the hell are you talking about???

Just because someone aligns themselves with the conservative or liberal view, doesn't mean they are a political part of it! Some of you think that these posters are actually politicians or those close to them. You are all so far off the track, that you are all beginning to sound silly. REALLY!!! geezzzeeeeee!

The dems won and the reps lost due to the NNTP, Row F line. Plain and simple! The dems won short of a true majority. Like I posted earlier, if there were no 3rd line and this was a 2 party race, the reps would still be in power.

I'll use this quote as my leaping off point...

I don't believe the Democrats won because of the NNTP.  I know for a fact that we pulled a significant number of Democrat votes as well as Republican votes.  We definitely made it tough on the Republicans this election but guess what?...we made it equally tough on the Democrats.  Yes, we're registered Republicans and Conservatives but do not mistake me as a "Republican."  Forget the labels.  I don't fit a mold anymore and by all rights should be a blank.  Perhaps I soon will be but I won't make a decision until I get all my emotions settled properly.

I believe the Democrats won on their own merit.  I personally wasn't impressed by their campaign but the voters sure were.  I think the Republicans lose this election with or without the NNTP being in it.  Different final numbers sure, but they still lose.  If anything killed the Republican effort it was the negativity they used.  I know I didn't like it and if I was a fence-sitter I would've looked for an excuse to vote another way.  The NNTP hoped we'd be that alternative but we just didn't quite muster enough support.

Failure?  We lost but I don't look at it as a failure.  I consider myself a successful person and that didn't happen without some failures along the way.  Failure is an integral element to any real success.  Some of you know exactly what I mean.

Brilliance???  I'm not sure even what that means.  If anyone thinks we were in this race to destroy the Republican Party they're completely out of their mind.  Some axes were grinding but we were in this for one purpose:  to win and serve.  This was never about crushing and rebuilding a party - that's ludicrous.

More votes than Signore and Suhrada?  Yeah, I'm pleased with my individual effort.  But big deal - I STILL LOST!  Just like in sports an ugly win is still a win and a loss is a loss no matter how you slice it.

It's time to move on toward finding solutions to the problems we face.
