My wife and i watched Transformers 2 on friday (i grew up in the 80's) and well, not only was it Very Very violent, as in.. shouldn't been rated pg-13/don't let the kiddos watch it.. When i really thought about the plot, i kinda giggled to myself
The Decepticons (the bad guys, the terrorists) attack earth again, and when they finally start being able to do damage, they tell present "Obama" that if we continue to resist they will distroy us all, so president Obama orders the Autobots (the good guys) to leave the planet (who are our only defense).. of course, the military ignores Obama and escorts them to the front lines where they win one for the USA...
I sat and wondered, was the writer doing this on purpose trying to make Obama looks spinless? *shrugs* i just got a giggle of of it.

Watched that also, and they pretty much quoted the dem. stance, obama adminstration, we are going to win this war with DIPLOMACY AND A GOOD STRATEGY......
Thanks....that's it! It was also a politically correct movie. The movie 2012 is coming out next month. I wonder if that will also be a politically motivated move.
Sometimes I think the 'coming attractions' are better than some movies out there.
