Now we have that same group of bums in office, and the people need to be vigilant.

And the people will be vigilant with this group in office.

Well now I know who you are. ! I think we have that saying in common.  Sorry about your loss.

As I recall this country went into WWI because Germany sunk the Lusitania-that was the major cause.  Also countries like Britain and France owed this country money and US went to war to help them.  Don't remember much more than that.

As for WWII--the US entered that war because of the attack on Pearl Harbor--we were attacked.  It was after tht attack that Germany declared war against the US.

As for Viet Nam-we were headed there because of Eisenhower.  He thought  the Peace Accords gave too much power to the communists in Viet Nam.  That war was started to  try and stop the spread of communism in Southeast Asia.  And by the way Nixon escalated the bombings all while he was pulling folks out as I remember.

Naturally there is an improvement in the way wars are conducted.  So yes there are less people dead.  But from the Iraq war we now have as money kids committing suicide as we have killed in action.  WE HAD NO BUSINESS GETTING INTO THAT WAR.  BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE INNOCENT Iraqiis that have died as a result of this war for oil via Mr. Bush?  I spent the morning today with Col. Eric Olsen New York State Chaplain for the National Guard.  I learned plenty  about what is happening to our kids.  Do you want to defend it?

You stick to plumbing--I will continue to speak out for peace.  You guys can't even get your heads out of your bunker to concentrate on anything that isn't Rotterdam.  Might add go to Proctors WEdnesday night and see the film "The Good Soldier."  There will be vets there f rom all the wars--if you think you have the stomach for it go.  Yeah I would paint your sign again because you still don't get it.  Stick to plumbing.  Maybe Frank will let you use his excavator if you behave.  Give Peace a Chance--you betcha!

Cal maybe Cicero will listen to you but puleeeese tell him that the election was last Tuesday, not next Tuesday and HE lost.   ROTFLMAO  Oh this is a riot!!!

The election was last week....but lest we need to remind everyone that fdg won by default! FDG was NOT elected by the majority! FDG will NOT have the support of the majority of the residents.  Ah yup....it is a hoot!

And Cis--PDQ is right--the election was last week.   Get over it.  Your party lost and for good reasons.  You had lousy leaders running the campaign.  You might know that Cis if you ever came up from under to show your face during the election.  I'm not throwing bombs at Surprise.  FActs are facts. EVERYONE knows he was the reason your party went down.  That and GP's ill-advised remarks about the new Suprervisor.  Well who looks like an idiot now?  The town attorney.  I hope FDG demands a complete audit.  You and your pals will have a lot of explaining to do.  PDQ has got your number.

No, I'm not bitter.  I'm not throwing bombs.  When Cal throws bombs at the current Assessor, I feel I must put it into perspective and remind her of the crooks and buffoons we had in Assessors Office in recent history.  As I remind everybody again, we didn't spend $750K on town wide reassessment because we had great assessors under Constantino and the Democrats.  We had a father/son combo that virtually wrecked the town.

No tirade PDPUDDYQ.  I'm not a politician, just a life long resident of Rotterdam.  I know the guy that lost his state job for gambling, and was hired as temporary assessor through political cronyism.  Now we have that same group of bums in office, and the people need to be vigilant.

I'm "surprised" Republicans in Guilderland didn't do a better background check for appointed positions.

Oh this is really getting funny.  Virtually wrecked the town?  How so??  By being the brains behind a number of successful democratic campaigns in town?  Perhaps Cicero?  Or maybe, just maybe, the "father/son" team you talk about BEAT you once again.  I don't think either one of the "father/son" team gives a rat's a** about what you think.  You LOST!!!  Out on the curb once again.

As far as Guilderland doing background checks...trust me your psycho "gambling" babble BS didn't work there either  Its still in cousin Brucie's underwear...LOL  Happy Hunting  Ever find that flea bitten dog you lost???  HeHeHe

Again...I go back to the fact that Rotterdam had to pay $750K for a town wide reassessment because the lackeys in Town Hall through the 70's 80's and 90's didn't bother making sure assessments were current for over half of the town.  Even fellow Democrat Paulino new the towns valuation was screwed up.  Gee,,,I wonder who's responsible for that.

Yes, you were the brains behind getting pedophile Constantino elected.  Congrats!  Wear that like a badge of honor.   Let me guess, you never knew Jimmy was a sick pervert, or Conservative Party member Skip was stuffing ballots.      Good Job!

Yes, Democrats gave us the Mall over our aquifer, and Wal-Mart on Altamont Ave.  All while ignoring Hamburg St., and watching the infrastructure crumble.  A few select contractors and town employees made a mint during those days, unfortunately at the expense of the rest of the town.   For that I say congratulations!

Pathetic Cicero just pathetic.  You poor soul...all that venom and bitterness directed toward one family??? Please check yourself into the same anger management counseling that YOUR new Assessor needed to keep his job.  It may help you look in the mirror without CRYING!

Cis,
I take issue with you on several things.  First Jimmy Constantino was  lousy at bringing in business to the town.  I told him that when he came to my door.  Hard to know who is a pedophile and who is not.  So throwing that BS around is just foolish.  You should be smarter than that.

Walmart on Altamont Avenue ain't so bad.  People who come there then do other things while in the town.  Yes I have been approached there more than once by less than savory characters.  The last time it took the RPD 20 minutes to get there and the guy was long gone only for me to meet  up with the same drifter six months later in the chapel at The College of Saint Rose where he still was looking for a hand-out with the same story from Walmart.

Your so used to being a "county" employee, you have no brains for business...small business.  You lose this round too Cis--the former assessor did a great job and is missed by lots of folks.  Why?  He did his job--did it well, used his head and WAS NICE TO PEOPLE!!!  He had people skills--

BT--why cotinue with the Constantino issues.  It's old--move on.  BT--stop trying to stir a pot that is cold.

Cis is just sour grapes at this point.  He's in office-- he's out of office-- he's in--then out-- Cis you lost--Come back in about ten years--the new folks in town won't know you and you can try again.  Actually you might have won if you had the guts to come out of the bunker and campaign. Did you think flying under everyone's radar screen would help you?  You had to have seen what was coming. No your Rep leaders lost this election for you.  Move on.

Cicero you pitiful dolt.  The Assessor has nothing to do with deciding to do a reval or not to do a reval.  The Rotterdam reval was the decision of John Paolino, Diane Marco and YOUR beloved Holly Vellano.  If they, like the previous umpteen administrations, didn't want to do it then fine.  So be it.  The Assessor has NOTHING to do with the decision to do a reval.  DOLT!

How are the toilet plungers working these days?  Better than ever in Rotterdam!!

Plumber, county, in and out of office...hmmm, sounds like someone thinks Cicero is Signore.  Signore can't send a damned e-mail, and you think he's writing on a forum?  Not unless he chisels it on a stone tablet for someone else to transcribe!
