Hey, is the gazette still supporting and sponsoring this years CHRISTMAS parade? It's only about a month or so away. Where is the advertising and cheerleading for it?

We aren't allowed to celebrate Christmas anymore in America, haven't you heard?  We will now refer to it as just December 25th.  Then in 5 years, it will be December 25th, brought to you by Walmart when the government figures out its solution to the economic mess it's in.

I am sure you want to blame the Republicans for that, too. Right?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Thank you SS Savage, Judy DAG and Death Ray for changing the day of the parade from it's traditional Black Friday. Now no one knows what day the parade is on. So much for planning-so much for out of town visitors.

Is the Gazetto corporate sponsor again? The Schenectady City Schools should be sponsor-take it out of the building fund.

Yeah V, for standing up for things like Christmas. All the left wing groups including you are mad at us. Funny. Considering we have a liberal academe starting in pre-school, a liberal media, a liberal bureaucracy, it is no wonder they dumbed you down so much that you are anti-Republican and are willing to live in a one party world. They never taught you about what it is like to live in a totalitarian dictatorship and you are too young to know anyone who has.

So who wants Christmas to be called Dec 25? Conservatives? Liberals? Who? You are bitching at the wrong people, again. Making no sense.

I wasn't bitching at anyone, i was pointing out the humor in the fact so many get up in arms about things like Christmas.  Have you ever stopped to think someone can take a side on an "issue" based solely on the issue.  And NOT have to look down a party line.. I'm not a politician, i'm not a member of the Democrats, the Republicans, the Conservatives. You make me laugh...

V...Christmas will always be Christmas for me and my family. I don't need the government to tell me 'what' to call it. And on that days before, I say have a 'merry CHRISTMAS' to everyone I meet.

BT couldn't be more correct. The stunad DEMS want to call our Christmas Parade a Holiday Parade! It's WORSE than anyone has posted.

V needs to put the blame squarely where it belongs on horrible Sue "THE" Savage and Judy DAGS doorsteps. Stop confusing national and local issues. You no vote for 2 DAGS? The DEMS in this County are flushing everyone down the toilet. Wait to you see the property tax bills for the new County Home-which even Albany won't build.

Well, I have to agree with benny on this one. I know V, that you don't want to make this a political issue, but benny is right......suzie wants us to 'bend over' to make all of the non-christmas celebrators to feel right at home. That truly is the bottom line.

Not to mention that our entire country is moving in th at same direction.

But again.....I don't care what the government says.....it is still and always will be MERRY CHRISTMAS for me!!!

And more importantly.....is there even going to be one this year? Who will sponsor it? This is usually advertised in August for God's sake. It's only about 6 weeks away, right? Or perhaps they will change this one too, huh?

Who doesn't want a Christmas Parade?????  It's tradition. We must.  It has to be the day after Thanksgiving. How will we know when to shop??  What will Santa do??  Get your floats ready NOW!  Tommasone, Mertz and Suhrada at the bottom of this??  Why cost too much to have the damn parade?

There's nothing sacred in this County? The Christmas Parade was a tradition here on Black Friday. Then because of some bomb at Proctor's the stunad DEMS threw a 25 year old Christmas tradition out the window.

People reserve the hotels on State St just to be on the parade route Black Friday for our annual Christmas Parade. Then Savage, Morris and Co switch dates and worse rename it a "Holiday Parade". A holiday parade with Santa at the end? Give us a break with the political correctness. It's a Christmas Parade and must return to Black Friday.

I honestly wasn't commenting on the local side of the issue... I was just commenting on how in the current day we strive so hard to be politically correct you can't even use the word christmas..  I wasn't even agreeing, just trying to point out the humor in the fact people get so up in arms over things like that.

In schools it's now "holiday" parties.. stuff like that.. i again, don't know much about our local issues, haven't been here that long.. I know i enjoy the Christmas parade on state street every year, well.. i know my wife drags me out to it every year with my grumbling (i have to stand outside where?) before i get there and have a good time (being more honest)

We happily celebrate Christmas in my home, heck this year is my baby's first.. can't wait...
