That's par for the course. Hit pieces with no return address {from you know who} mailed at the last second. And people still read and believe them?

What Michael achieved is significant-the first reformer in many moons. Let's see who supports real change for the Town. He worked hard and walked the entire town many times. Most of his supporters could not vote and will come out in droves in November. He need more taxpayer watch dogs like these.

Keep to your standards Brad, the other parties threw mud at each other in the last election too. The parties in power have nothing to show for accomplishments after years in office, all the other parties can do is to try to destroy the opposition by using computer generated calls to sling mud at their opponents. I got one of those last minute calls as well and it convinced me that I'm not going to vote for any candidate that uses that type of tactic to try to win an election.

Felipe--thanks for the post.  I don't think I will be a hypocrit in January.  Although I understand why you would make that accusation.  It simply isn't true.  I have been known to speak my peace to Democrats who have acted unethically as well.  AS for my history in Rotterdam politics--I don't have one.  I registered there that was it.  Never ran for office nor would I.  And you would all be surprised to know that I WAS asked to  run for town council many years ago on the REPUBLICAN ticket!  Why you ask?  Because I found Constantino to be most everything that has already been cited.  Also although Joe AKA Graham Bonnet is deeply offensive and guilty of hate speech (gumba gansters it would not matter to me if he were a Muslim.  There are many Muslims living in this town now.  Most are good and decent folks who just want to live and shouldn't be tied to radical folks.  And they certainly wouldn't want to be tied to Suhrada.  Yes I am sure he was mentored by the Tom and Jerry show.  This is my last post--Ciao gang--don't forget to vote.

I've met "GB" - trust me, he's no Joe Suhrada. Maybe a cheerleader on the team, but that's about it.

The way I see it.....we all need to NOT vote for fdg and crew. If they get in, every single person that has a concern over developing this town further, better think twice. REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM is beholden to the dems AND to their large contributors. Not a good thing for rotterdam. That is a no brainer folks!

And the reps are imploding! Too much uncertainty in that party.

The NNTP is beholden to NO ONE except the taxpayers!

Cal ~ sorry to see you go, thoughtful debate is always welcome and a breath of fresh air.

Bumble ~ NNTP has apparently went into hiding ~ nobody I spoke with has seen hide nor hair from them in a week.  I think they ran their course.

Mobile ~ great, now you have two screen names?  You just cover your tracks better than others

I mentioned in another topic that I was worried about posting, because of wild accusations thrown around on this blog.

Only here can one clicking a button that says "e-mail" for two different profiles and comparing the two be considered UNETHICAL.

Sounds more like crying over spilled milk to me...And as for the hats, I saw them at the festival also.  If candidates or there families want to wear shirts or hats, that's one thing...but for volunteers of the festival, with a St. Gabriel's apron around there neck and a political hat (with profanity) on their heads, it's unnacceptable.  The reps oft he organization should have curbed it, so I blame them also.

This is the same person (working for Paolino at the time in the senior center who doesn't HAVE a political axe to grind) who accused the Rotterdam Republicans of being anti-semitic because they had a pig roast and it was held on the occasion incidentally of the 2nd weekend of September which somehow coincided with the anniversary of 9-11. Of course the Elks must of also been anti-semitic for having their clam bake that very same weekend as kosher law prohibits eating shellfish too I believe. But nonetheless she had organized an "interfaith candlelight vigil" that day (this is the sort of answer these far left types have when confronted with terrorism- light candles and sing songs) at the Rotterdam festival; and having any competition was enough for her to call on the GOP to cancel the event just days before (so they would incidentally lose all the money from the fundraiser.)

In Washington the Saul Alinsky types teach this sort of tactic "cry hate," "cry racism" and "cry anti-semitic" at the drop pf a dime. Compare English lesson to the holocaust, call Republicans KKK, etc. This old and tired trick has worn itself out but there are few race peddlers around who can't resist spewing it if only in the time honored tradition of Paul Josef Goebbels who believe that if you tell the lie enough it becomes truth.

This is how she made use of her publicly funded time at the senior center-looking for possible Republican slip-ups that she could try to make hay of. Unfortunately for her the concept of a pig roast was and is a time honored BBQ tradition that has nothing to do with religion, creed or racial attitudes and it was clear that her number one job was to be the the Julius Striecher of the Paolino administration and sniff out those rascally republicans and try to intimidate and persecute them. It is no wonder she hasn't yet taken a job in the White House for Obama waging pogroms against the Tea Party folks. She would be very effective I am sure (at turning middle America against the administration.)

Decent people have stepped up in the past.  Carolina Lazzari would be one of them.  She has been battered and bruised over the years but still is the one who emerges as the perfect candidate to lead her party.

She's tanned-she's rested-she's ready? Maybe if enough of yous wake up some positive change can occur. Michael O also has stepped up. Along with the entire NNTP. Had enough-YET?

GB....this type of BS goes on in politics 'all the time' and we the people are actually tired of hearing about it....from the dems to the reps to the cons.

A piece of advise......they all better get their act together or there will be only the viable independent lines left. And may I also suggest to all of these 3 parties, which are all the 'little good old boys clubs'....to change the names and faces of your parties. We are also sick and tired of the same old names, faces and antics that are thrown in our faces on every election cycle.

It's all about self serving, political and personal power/motivation, revenge and control! Nothing....nadda....about us, the taxpayers!

Except of course for the NNTP.IMHO

Good, stay this time Deb! As one or the other. Do you admit that it was wrong to try to silence the GOP by accusing them of anti-semitism for having pig roast or what?

Joe & Deb ~ let's try to keep this local.  Your political leanings often take the debate to boring and uninteresting places.

I think you two can find some common ground, how about starting with REMS.  Joe is supporting a dedicated tax payer revenue stream for a not-for-profit company; Deb you should be pleased that you have finally swayed him.

One can admire Deb's motives, trying to find help and support for those less fortunate or in need.  Keeping it local, the seniors deserved to have more after working and contributing their entire lives.  REMS, in Joe's mind, deserves unending taxpayer dollars to fund their service because they are in need too.  It's a difficult line to draw, as to what gets funded and what doesn't ~ if you believe that we are one big family and should look out for each other then the choices become even harder.

See, you two can agree ~ you're actually more alike than you want to admit.
