SCHENECTADY
Woman shot on Eastern Ave.

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

Police are searching for a man who shot a woman in the head after a brief dispute inside the Eastern Avenue Deli and Grocery late Friday evening.
Investigators on the scene declined to say whether the shooting was fatal, but witnesses at the scene said the woman was unresponsive. The shooting led to a massive manhunt after the shooter reportedly fled the scene into Vale Cemetery.
Detective Kevin Green declined to discuss the case from the scene. Calls placed to him late Friday evening were not returned.
Store owner Mohamed Aldhala said he was asleep in an apartment upstairs when he heard a single shot ring out. His three sons, who were manning the store’s counter at the time of the shooting, indicated that a man walked in behind a small-framed woman, had a brief conversation with her and then shot her once in the head.
“She was a customer,” he said from in front of his store. “She told him to get over her, and then he shot her right away.” ..............>>>>.............>>>>..........http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....amp;EntityId=Ar01103

So an innocent bystander gets murdered in a stick up, and the democrats will cry RENAISSANCE RENAISSANCE! or they will say that we need more welfareeeeee, or that we need to be compassionateeeee...or they will more like say "We have not heard of one bad (NEGATIVE!!!) thing happening in the city or county, and everyone is enthralled with the "New Team!" Yay!!!!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

It wasn't even a stick up. Shot in the head by the deli counter. Another Friday night in the City. Lower Eastern Avenue is the new Hamilton Hill.

Does anybody care? Mayor Son of Sam has a plan! Disband the Police Department. Unbelievable. Clueless-nothing on the gang explosion-nothing on the crime explosion. The rubber stamp City Council don't know from nuthin. And they will run unopposed.

A trip to deli brings death, and unanswered questions
Police continue searching for a man caught on tape robbing Schenectady store, then shooting woman

By DAVID FILKINS, Staff writer
First published in print: Sunday, June 7, 2009

SCHENECTADY -- A woman enters the Eastern Avenue Deli and Grocery Friday at 10:18 p.m. She goes to the counter and asks for Marlboro cigarettes.

One minute later, a man comes in wearing all black with a red bandana over his face. He holds up a silver handgun.

Police and the store owner said these details are indisputable. They were recorded on two cameras inside the deli.

What happened next is fuzzy, even with video evidence.

The robber grabs the woman. She fights back. The man appears to hit her in the head with the hand he's using to hold the gun. A shot is fired and the woman drops to the floor. The robber takes off.

Three questions remain. The first two are the focus of a police investigation. The third only adds to the tragedy.

Who killed Laurel Teer?

Where is he?

And did he mean to pull the trigger?

Teer, 41, married her husband Michael 21 years ago and they moved from Middletown to Schenectady in 2005. She didn't work and spent most of her days crocheting, watching Law & Order and baking.

She was friendly but reserved and would often smile and wave to neighbors from her porch at the University Apartments....................>>>>...........>>>>...........http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=807682

The Republicans think that the crime may have been committed by a youth who was raised on formula dispensed out of bottles made with BPA.  It wasn't the fault of the suspect, but actually the bottle manufacturer caused the person to commit the crime.  Thank god for Angelo's proposed ban on BPA.  We should see an immediate impact on Schenectady County's quality of life after this legislation is passes.
