SCHENECTADY -- A city man who had worked as a counselor for a child welfare agency was indicted in Schenectady County Wednesday on charges of allegedly having and promoting child pornography.
Marcellus Mills, 48, faces 14 counts each of possessing a sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child.
State police investigators became aware of his alleged activity through their monitoring of the file sharing network LimeWire, according to Michele Schettino, special victims bureau chief with the Schenectady County District Attorney.
She said police obtained a search warrant and seized Mills' computer from his home at 1305 S. Brandywine Ave., where they discovered more disturbing images and videos of minors under the age of 17 engaged in sexual activity with other minors and adults.
"There was a whole host of sexual conduct contained on the videos," Schettino said, adding Mills had the videos from August 2008 to January 2009. He was arrested that month and later released after appearing in City Court............>>>>.............>>>>............http://www.timesunion.com/AspS.....mp;newsdate=6/4/2009
