GLENVILLE — Colleen Halliwell, a private duty nurse, doesn’t buy lottery tickets often but on the morning of May 8 she decided to pick up some scratch-offs at the Hannaford supermarket where she’d gone to pick up a prescription. It turned out to be a good idea. One of them was a $1 million winner. Halliwell, 43, who lives in Rotterdam and is the mother of three, bought the tickets before heading off to work. “I had actually just scratched off the numbers before work. I didn’t even scratch off the amount until after my shift was over,” she said. “I’m not even a big Lotto player.
