My campaign website is now online.  On the Issues page,  I present my positions on many important issues that confront Schenectady County residents. I offer my candid thoughts and views so that voters may assess the philosophy and ideology that will shape my words and guide my actions when elected to the County Legislature.

My positions on other issues will be added at a later time.  I don't expect that all will agree with my stated positions.  However, voters will know where I stand and can make their decisions based on information that most candidates don't usually disclose.

What a refreshing difference comparing Brad's site with the other Dist 4 candidates running on their last name or phony promises.

While Holly is in Mexico and Judy is sitting home on her "laurels", Brad Littlefield is talking to voters and picking up major support. Keep underestimating him.

My money's is on the underdog. People are getting tired of those that change parties like underwear and their idiotic promises. Unfortunately for Judy DAG she has a record-of doing nothing-saying nothing-except supporting additional County and sales taxes.

Mr. Littlefield sounds interesting, bu I fear he is misinformed. I read his web site. He wants to place residency restrictions on welfare residents. Nice idea, however, it is illegal. So if he is advocating that the breaking of laws, then perhaps he is not the right candidate for office.

I also believe he is a bit out of touch with reality on some other issues. More on that later

Why should the taxpayers have to pay for welfare to people who do not reside in the county and are coming here strictly for the lucrative benefits this county pays? Welfare should not be allowed to become a career job like many have enjoyed in the past, there needs to be time limits placed on how long people can collect or the burden on the people being taxed to pay for these benefits becomes too great.

He's running for legislator, he would most likely propose a bill that would make it illegal.  The residency restrictions would be NEW legislation.  When you run for legislator on NEW ideas and a new platform, you obviously would be working to CHANGE the current county laws that make Schenectady County(City) such a crime ridden toilet.

Brad Littlefield is rightfully stating that County DSS needs to start doing at home investigations and checking that all new welfare applicants actually live here. Not establishing a mailbox for check pick up from the Bronx.

There is nothing "illegal" about that. Brad Littlefield is the only candidate in the County addressing the massive welfare fraud that costs County taxpayers millions of dollars. For someone to claim this is illegal speaks to their ignorance. In the next breath they are supporting Mary Cherry who's big issue is the Albany County dump? Try focusing on something that Schenectady County voters care about-not Albany County voters. This is all about the fact that Brad Littlefield turned in 5X the petitions needed to run and will be on the ballot.

Folks, Smoking Bananas assertion re: residency requirements has basis in law.  I would, however, expect that any discussion re: how to reform the social services provided by the county and state to control the unsustainable spending would address the legality and practicality of any proposal and the genuine public need for such affected programs.  There is a County Attorney's office who would/should advise on any proposed legislation.

Bananas statement about my advocating breaking of laws, seemingly exhibits pollitically motivated partisanship.  I continue to welcome his/her input as I do from all residents of Schenectady County District 4.

I have revised my web site content to remove the proposal for residency requirements.  Though I understand there to be such provisions for certain types of assistance (e.g., tuition assistance), length of residency cannot be a consideration for determining eligibilty for others.  The verification of residency, however, must be performed.

It is time for new ideas and a dialogue regarding how to turn this county around before it is at a point of no return.

There you go, you proved my point by removing the clause. Also, you seem a bit thin-skinned. To question you, it seems, is to suggest I am politically motivated, and then you ask for input from residents. You can;t have it both ways.

As for your other proposals, a majority of them are likely not, I repeat not, to be enacted. Therefore, you are just another politician empty promises.

Also, are you even a serious candidate? You do not even have a line. You have to primary for the seat, and it is 100 percent likely you will lose. So until you have a line, you have no political leg to stand on. Am I correct?

Not being endorsed by a major political party should not diminish the fact that a person may or may not be a viable candidate for a position. This is the way the election system is set up.

It is beginning to make people wonder if political parties are just endorsing candidates who will go along with the status quo and that they do not support change. People are beginning to look at these independent candidates who are not beholden to any political party as viable candidates.

Where are they looking at these candidates BumbleButt?  Not in Rotterdam.  The Independent Party endorsed based on cronyism and who "should" win.  What the hell are talking about?

Sounds like wishful thinkin there John Boy!

Puddycat ~ see there you go again, you actually made sense.  Sometimes you sound a little bit too much like our friend Sal, then other times you actaully make good points.

Back to Brad.  Puddycat is absolutely correct ~ The IND PARTY endorses whoever they think will win.  You can't blame them, it actually keeps them relevant.

As for Smoking Crack, oops, I mean Smoking Bananas ~ I'll be interested to watch your postings as the campaign goes on.

Where are my prognosticators?  Who gives any of the Repubs or Conserv a shot against Holly and Judy?
