Papa,

I agree with you on your assessment of Michael.  He desired only to serve and to represent the interests of Rotterdam residents.
He is a bright and articulate person,  He ran a clean and honest campaign.  I was honored to be associated with him.

I hope that Michael decides to campaign for office again in the next election cycle.  He would be an ideal public servant IMHO
And, if I was a Rotterdam resident, I would vote for him regardless of on which party ballot line his name appeared.

Thanks, Brad.  We did our best.  It just wasn't enough.  I really thought you were the best of the 4 of us - too bad it didn't work out.  I'm proud of the effort the 4 of us put forth in trying to be the alternative.  It was a bumpy ride sometimes but I'm glad we did it together anyway.

Future plans?  Rest.  Sleep.  I'm looking forward to spending time with my family again.  Beyond that...no plans.  I'm likely to leave the politics to others though in the future.  It's really not for me.

Michael:

I would like to join the various other responses on this page, commending you for a job well done. You ran a great campaign, you are an up-and-coming superstar of Rotterdam politics and I look forward to seeing your name on future ballots. Best of luck!

Thanks, Brutus.  Up-and-coming superstar?  I appreciate the overstatement but I'm just the same guy I was when I started.  I never say never but I think my political journey is over for the forseeable future.  It involved much more than I was prepared for.  There's always a way to make a positive difference...I'll keep trying to do that...but I expect it will take another form.

Michael is a great person and a welcome addition to the usual retrends. I hope you and Brad stay active and assume your rightful leadership roles. Bring the NNTP countywide.

Ms. DiLeva won because of idiots ruining the REP party. Another free ride Judy style. He got sauced alright from behind. REP literature with everyone but him in it. Money wasted on the no win clerk race.

No room for bitterness or regrets now, benny.  It's time to embrace our new leadership.  Support it.  If you disagree with an approach they take, stand up and oppose it.  We need solutions.  The people just elected are charged to provide them.  Focus on that.

As far all the rest of how we arrived at today, it doesn't matter.  We're here.

Michael appears to be far too decent and honest of a person to want to enter the political cesspool yet again. He has been and probably will continue to be an advocate for the town. That is what he does best. I feel the same way about littlefield as well.

Leave the politicians to this cesspool cause nothin' is ever gonna change. Perhaps a change in the rep leadership, but that is no guarantee either.

Maybe he will run again!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I don't know.  Haven't heard that.  I have heard that O'Connor is looking to run as the Supervisor, ...

Quoted from Michael

You're listening to the wrong people then, Kevin.  Anyone throwing my name around is definitely not in the know ...or simply trying to manipulate other's actions.  When it comes to my intentions, I've been crystal clear.  For anyone still in doubt, contact me and hear it direct from the horse's mouth - I am not running for Supervisor or any other political office now or any time in the forseeable future.  I'm back to being just another concerned, informed voting citizen.

This looked like a more appropriate place for these comments than the other thread...and I hope it serves to inform people properly
