More nothing excitedly reprinted by the horrible Snooze. Still think it's unbiased? More jobs have left than been created since Metrograft started. Where's the great quote from Death Ray about; "no more empty storefronts in the entire City"? lol! Nobody believes this rubbish. A total socialistic flop.   Seventy million spent and 3 popcorn jobs created.

Give Manning credit for Metroplex success, too

I read with some interest Michael Lamendola’s Feb. 22 article, "Success of Metroplex lauded," regarding the Metroplex Authority.
Not to diminish the work of [Metroplex President] Ray Gillen over the last five years, I also believe credit should go to John Manning, first Metroplex chairman. He worked tirelessly for the authority without compensation after his retirement from Niagara Mohawk.
Please, let's give credit where credit is due, as Mr. Manning brought Metroplex through its beginning growing pains, took politics out of the picture, and laid the foundations for a solid organization. Our community is a better place because of the job John Manning did with Metroplex.

Right now Metroplex is nothing more than a cash cow for Mr Gillen and selected individual businesses that are run by the friends of the Democrats IMHO. Mr Manning should be commended for his effort to get the Metroplex started initially and as pointed out without compensation in the true spirit of volunteerism for the good of the residents.

Talk to any Downtown business that isn't in the bag. Mr. Manning was better. He brought all the State employees Downtown. He worked without $200,000 in pay and bonuses. He actually listened to people and included the public in planning.

There is not one planner in the current Metrograft crew. That the MSM keeps cheer leading for this instead of demanding immediate release of the State Audit is an outrage. People are fed up with fake self promotion and lies about retail that isn't ever coming.

I heard an interesting story the other day. Someone bought a building downtown and received more funding/grants than what they paid for the building. YUP....more 'tax dollars under the guise of funding and grants then what they actually paid for the building.

While this state is bankrupt and this county's taxes are the highest in the nation. All the while the 'selected few' are getting their hands greased.....with OUR money!

Do your homework folks!!
