Douglas H. Dornan, a research scientist for the state Office of Mental Health, believes that every American deserves universal health care that covers both physical and mental health services. That’s why he organized a free forum for the citizens of Schenectady County to express their viewpoints and ideas about health care to a panel of experts who will listen and respond to questions. The forum will be held Tuesday from 6:45 to 9 p.m. at the Schenectady County Public Library, McChesney Room, 99 Clinton St. Panelists will include: Ashley Edwards, Capital District American Heart Association executive director; Harvey Rosenthal, New York association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services executive director; The Rev. Dr. Edward Smart, Israel AME Church of Albany pastor; Dr. Andrew D. Coates, Physicians for a National Health Program, Capital District chapter co-chairman; and Also represented will be the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association Capital District chapters.
