ROTTERDAM — State police arrested a Rotterdam man on a child pornography charge Monday.
John J. Scalice, 35, of Turnbull Street was charged with a felony count of possession of sexual performance material by a child. He was arraigned in Town Court and then sent to the Schenectady County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond; he was later released.
Investigators from the state police Computer Crimes Unit developed information Scalice was involved with child pornography. Police later executed a search warrant at his first-floor apartment, seizing a computer and numerous DVDs.
Scalice is due to reappear in court today. State police are continuing to investigate the case and anticipate further charges. |
