There is no survey. Another big tale from DumbocrapicVoodoRepeater.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

A survey of town residents was conducted by the Schalmont S.U.P.A. class in a period between November and December in 2009.   The results of the survey were presented to the parks Commission in January 2010 and a copy of that survey was included in the Vision 2020 Town Parks plan that was submitted to the Town Board on
November 10, 2010.     I have a copy of the report and would be happy to print a copy of it for you at $1
a page.  (It runs about 24 pages)

So again -- I speak FACTS and  GB spews excrement.

DVOR may want to ask the folks out at the Mabee Farm how they'd feel about the Onrust /Mr. Rittner as a neighbor.  Understand the Welcome mat was removed some time ago and that the ship has not docked there since it was assembled there years ago.    Noticeably absent from the Stockades Colonial Fest program literature, is any inclusion of our City/County historians involvement in this historical program ...Row, row ,row your boat, gently down the stream........

The town park would be adjacent to but separate from the Mabee Farm complex.  The dockage that we are
proposing would be connected to town park land and not the Mabee Farm land.

I am not going to bogged down in the past differences between various community figures -- every effort should be made to work together -- the Parks and Recreation Commission would like to work with BOTH the Mabee Farm and the people behind the Onrust Project.   We are extending a welcome mat to BOTH.

Mr. Majestyk, GREAT name. Great movie, one of my favorite actors, Charlie Buchinski!

Second, nobody listens to DumbocrapicVoodoRepeater. He can't get anything done, even with his partisans running each and every elected office between tax collector and president, He talks like he has visions of grandeur.

Sooooo while they were building this 'boat'.....there should have been a decision THEN on where it would be docked.
Now the taxpayers have this bundle of wood and bolts and nobody knows where to put it or how to pay for it!!

As usual........piss poor planning!

The town does not need more parks. The City cannot maintain what they currently have. Mr. Rittner is a great guy but even the DEM stooges ruining the City pulled all funding. City Historian and pools are the only areas they can cut?

Dock it at the private Water's Edge where there is the requisite watering hole, food and rest rooms. Already built with private funds. No need to put another hand in the oppressed taxpayers pocket. The nonstop pie in the sky from Landslide Savage and her 13 dwarfs must end.

You talk like you think you know what is going on -- but you do NOT -- the FACT is that the proposal to build a park in Rotterdam Junction area of Rotterdam IS on track.

I talk based on FACTS .. because I am actively involved in the formulating of the plan through my involvementin both the Parks Commission and the BOA Study Group.   I know the progress that is being made and I have been a part of producing that progress for almost 2 years.

Over two thirds of the town's residents disagree with you on the park in Rotterdam Junction--  the Water's Edge is a nice restaurant but it is too far away to generate economic activity in Rotterdam Junction.

The town already owns 78 acres in the Junction to be developed as part of the park and has access to up to 68 acres of additional state-owned lands along the river.   We are NOT going to wait another 20 years to start to develop the park in the Junction  ... we are going to press on and have it completed by 2020.

How about putting any funds used for the park to a vote and see if 2/3 of the taxpaying public will support it.
