Road Closures in Schenectady for Summer Festival

Schenectady County is holding its annual Summer Night Festival in downtown Schenectady Friday night and to accomodate the event, the Schenectady Police Department is announcing the following road closures:

    * State Street- from Nott Terrace to Broadway will be closed from 2:30 pm Friday until 11:00 pm
    * Clinton Street- from State Street to Smith Street will be closed from 2:30 pm Friday until 11:00 pm
    * No parking on either side of State Street from Nott Terrace to Broadway from noon Friday until approximately 11:00 pm

It was fun and entertaining----although, I'm not sure what the deal is about attracting shoppers---there is nothing to shop for accept art.....and most things are very unique and unaffordable to the average person......unless you have a giant formal living space and dining space the average cape cod homeowner has nothing to shop for, except food........but I am VERY impressed with the muddy cup cafe' and the small stage there......cool venue JMHO....
