Another Metrograft project! Your County tax dollars at work!

Thank you Sue Savage, Son of Sam, Death Ray and Judy DAG for your brilliant leadership on this issue. The diner should have been sold and moved years ago. A diner exactly like Silver Diner was sold in NYC and moved to the Midwest. But no-Death Ray wanted to "rehab" it. Great job Death Ray!

And of course the usual spin from the Gazetto. This is a good thing? Like when Kem Cleaners left Erie Blvd? This "opens up" Robinson's for Erie access-lol. Of course Robinsons Furniture is now a pile of dirt.

Preservationists decry demolition of diner

City: Erie Boulevard landmark was unsafe
BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter

Members of the local historic preservation community are mourning the loss of Ruby’s Silver Diner on Erie Boulevard, demolished Friday by the city.
But there seems to be a silver lining to the story: Parts of the 73-year-old converted Pullman rail car were salvaged and reinstalled in a museum in Duanesburg.
The city performed an emergency demolition of the diner late Friday afternoon, saying it feared the long-vacant structure could collapse at any time.
Its demolition, which caught many by surprise, is a “sad tale,” said City Councilwoman Barbara Blanchard, who is a member of the Schenectady Heritage Foundation. “It was a one-ofa-kind diner,” she said. .............>>>>........................>>>>........................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....1&Continuation=1

Then she should have bought it, if she thought it was so 'one of a kind.'

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Several people DID approach the city and 'plex with plans and offers - only one was considered, more than 2 years after the first rehab ideas were submitted.

Just like Washington tho - things are done on a Friday night/weekend/holiday so they figure by the next business day (Mon/Tues) peeps will have forgotten or missed it in the weekend printed rag.

Another indicator of the "great" job the City DEMS are doing?

It should have been sold and moved years ago-but Death Ray wanted to let it fall apart. Exact same thing happened on Clinton St where a rehab became a knockdown because of Metrograft arrogance. Who cares about repaying the sheeple? Not these DEMS-maybe in Albany County? By the way Death Ray when is the first space at Clinton Square to be rented? lol
