PDQ--I am with you all the way. Even people at Town Hall think Surprise is an incompetent partisan with a vile personality. |

Mr. Surprise is the worst assessor in the County. It takes some real doing to be worse than the arrogant jerk in Schenectady, Patrick Mastro. The voters are going to remember who appointed Mr. Surprise this November. |

Mr. Surprise isn't the worst assessor, just the most unpopular. He stepped into a town where properties and structures were never put on the tax roll by our previous assessor. Talk about a politicized assessor. Those were the days when one unreported structure on your property, equaled one vote for Jimmy Constantino. Sounds like the business owners aren't able to grease the assessor like previous years. If Delgallo's elected, I'm sure he'll fix that. |

Grasping at straws Cissy. Where does former Rep Town/County Chair Judge Vito Caruso's brother-in-law building inspector Mickey Mahar fit into the equation? Talk about a politicized building inspector. THESE are the days when the assessor lowers the brother of the supervisor's assessment, and the relatives of just about everyone on Steve's staff to equal votes for Tommasone. How you like me now Cissy? |

C'mon Puddy. Nobody cares about that. They are too busy looking at Del Gallo's pond and worrying about the fact that he can operate a backhoe. Those are the major issues-we don't want a successful business man running the town. |

I know you hear that ring of truth in my statement. Brings back memories of the good ole days, eh Johnny boy? The days of Timmy Larned greasing Jimmy Constantino. That's public record. Take a wild guess who's contributing to Delgallo campaign? At least he's buying politicians legally now. Timmy L, Bobby I, Frannie D is putting up a lot of money to buy town hall. Those of us who've lived here all our lives know the motives. Cal and benny don't know the rich history of crooked Rotterdam politicians. If the Democrats think by keeping their candidates out of the spotlight and away from any public scrutiny will somehow cover up their past, they are grossly mistaken. Rotterdamians have a looooooooooooooooooooooong memory. |

You mean long memory like Steve's appointed Sr. Citizen liaison, the very rich and slick, John DeGeorgio? Who I might add, was implicated in the whole Jim Costantino/Tim Larned pay to play scandal. Has Jon Boy made any "handshake" deals with the Ego for the "no show" job?
Or how about the pay to play money funneled into the campaign via a Rotterdam Jct business quid pro quo? You mean that kind of "greasing?" How about the greasing of the Rotterdam Independence Party by dolling out patronage appts. for endorsement considerations?
How about it Cissy? You still want to stroll down "memory" lane with me? |

Oh no please, I submit. Seriously though, I appreciate your recognition of pay to play of the past. They say if you don't know your past, your bound to repeat it. We had 30 years of neglect in this town which led to a $750K town wide reassessment because assessments were so horribly out of whack. There was hodge podge zoning to allow a select few land owners to develop their land and make their millions, and now the whole Town of Rotterdam is so screwed for doing so. Commercial mixed with residential, next to industrial. They did a great job. Let's bring back the robber barons and see if they can screw it up some more. Let's continue to stroll.l |

I'll stroll a little more. When the assessment process needed reform who did Joe Sigsnore bring in? John MacIsaac need I say more? By your stupid rationale, we leave assessments out of whack, under both Republican Admin. continue to lose the GE lawsuits resulting in huge refunds at the expense of taxpayers. And you know who gets rich....Tommy Gun Buchanan's law firm. Yup No wonder Tommy wanted Macejka out and Bob Beebe removed as counsel for assessment lawsuits. They beat his law firm...twice! Pretty embarassing when your office is next to the general partner who got beat in court by little ol' Johnny Macejka and Bob Beebe. Sweet victory for the town but you would never know it by the stupidity of Steve and Company hiring an ignoramus like Craig Surprise. That's the real reason for the uproar over the reval. Paolino's administration took away a major component of the GE lawsuits over unfair assessments. Tommy Gun needed an out over the embarassment that his Republican "boys" couldn't stop the Reval or Macejka which would have greatly enhanced his position in his firm. Poor baby! Still wanna stroll? Keep chasing ambulances Tommy Gun. Your good at that! |

That's the whole point.....the memory IS THERE.....that is the reason for NNTP and a new piece of shew bread at the alter of politics......the County Reps/Dems stink so much that the town is growing mold....... I'm not too sure who you are looking for a 'pass' for.......care to elaborate |
