FREE ORGAN CONCERT SCHENECTADY — Proctors will have a free organ concert at noon Tuesday. The MVP GOLD Organ Concert Series is presented by the Hudson-Mohawk Theatre Organ Society. Featured organists are Helen Makimicz and Claudia Bracaliello playing “Goldie,” Proctors’ mighty Wurlitzer.
CHICKEN ON THE FLY ROTTERDAM — The Rotterdam United Methodist Church at Curry Road and Helderberg Avenue will host a drive-through Brooks chicken barbecue from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday . The cost for the full dinner is $9 for adults, $5 for children. A half-chicken only is $5.
PROCTORS TOUR SCHENECTADY — Proctors will offer a free public walking tour of its new performing arts complex from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday . The tour will include the Proctors main stage and a visit to the new star dressing rooms, the two new theaters, the GE Theatre with its Iwerks extreme screen, 440 Upstairs, the new 100-seat acoustic space, the atrium, the art gallery and the new conference spaces. The tour will last approximately two hours. Participants are asked to meet in front of the theatre doors in the Arcade

BOOK CLUB MEETS ROTTERDAM — The Rotterdam book club will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday to discuss “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen at the Rotterdam branch library, 1100 North Westcott Road. Two book clubs will meet at the main branch of the Schenectady County Public Library on Feb. 12. The 2 p.m. group will be reading Amanda Elyot’s “By a Lady.” The 7 p.m. group will discuss Diane Setterfield’s “The Thirteenth Tale.”

ITALIAN DINNER ROTTERDAM — Dance Force will sponsor an Italian dinner buffet fundraiser at 7 p.m. Friday at Mallozzi’s Restaurant. Proceeds will benefit The American Cancer Society. There will also be music, raffles and entertainment. The cost is $22 per person and free for children ages 3 and under. CABBAGE DINNER ROTTERDAM — The Schonowe Volunteer Fire Company will host a ham or corned beef and cabbage dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the firehouse, 112 Gordon Road. Tickets, available from members or at the door, are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children under age 5. Takeouts will be available.
