Nothing wrong with cheese sandwiches.    I particularly like blue cheese or grana padano cheese.

Uh before we have bike paths, we need safer streets in this city, we need something done about the every increasing number of vacant houses that are havens for the bums, the druggies, and are a danger to neighors if those houses catch fire.  These are just a few things needed far more than a bike pat right now

Hey, bike paths, unsafe streets, vacant homes and druggies will create jobs, encourage businesses to come to the county and will lower taxes!!

Bike Paths encourage a healthy lifestyle .... improve the quality of life ... draw tourists.

Yes we will all be healthy until one of the drug dealers shoots at someone and misses and hits that healthy individual on the bike killing them.

the statement that nobody will use the bike path -- is one of the stupidest comments that I have seen
yet  --- the existing bike paths are well used  and this project will connect the paths along the river to the
downtown ---- next we need to run the bike paths up into the surrounding neighborhoods and on into
Rotterdam and Niskayuna.

WHY is a connection needed?

WHY is it needed at taxpayer expense?

WHY, tell us WHY, DV,  WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY must people who are already struggling financially have to pay to connect a bike path?

This city thrived years ago WITHOUT a bike path.  It is NOT a necessitiy......at least not at taxpayer expense.  A bike path is leisure.

Tell us WHAT is more important.....is it more important for people to be able to pay for medical care or is it more important to force them to pay to connect two bike paths???????

HOW, tell us HOW a bike path is more important than people paying for their heat, food, and medical care.

People have needs to fix up their homes, but HOW, DV, HOW, tell us HOW people can afford to fix up their houes when they are paying for a bike path???????

See, you have absolutely no clue.

Here's a good question.

What exactly is wrong with Erie Blvd the way it is.

People in cars are fully able to get to their destination on the current Erie Blvd.

People who walk are fully able to cross at the intersectiond and get to their destination.

Since ALL walking and ALL driving and ALL buses on Erie Blvd as it currently is can be accomplished with no problem whatsoever, then there is no remake needed.

A socialist believes in redistribution of wealth.....economic equality for all is their anthem. However, in schenectady county, they take from the taxpayers and give it to the 'selected few', with the help of metroplex, to become even richer and to the 'welfare recipients' to keep them even poorer!!

I guess DVOR believes that the robbing of taxpayers' hard earned to remake State st was needed to.

I guess he believes STate St is much improved.

I guess DVOR believes that causing traffic jams is progress.

My neighbor who was stuck home with a broken leg called my wife today to ask her if she would drive to McClellan St at State St where the neighbor's daughter got off the bus and missed the bus that comes down Hamburg St.....the bus was about 10 minutes late picking her up in Albany, but that would still get her to the bus stop in time.  She got out of school and had to be to work.  She  said it took just about 30 minutes to get from Balltown Rd to McClellan St.

DVOR, tell us, how can you possibly call it progress when it takes a bus a whopping half hour to go all of about two miles thus making people miss conneting busses.....all becuase the stupid minds in the county and metroplex want to slow traffic in the hopes that people will stop as they drive by.

DON"T say this is a brainstorm of NYS.  I know about this traffic "calming" but it would have been done in Albany before Schenectady.

And now YOU think it's progress by remaking Erie Blvd to cause traffic jams.  How do you come to the conclusion that creating traffic jams is progress?

DVOR...tell us what is more important.  Spending $14 million on making a street look "pretty" or spending $14 million on police and fire in a crime ridden city???????

HOW do you arrive at the conclusion that it's better to spend money on a street than on police?

DVR is going to tell you that this money can only be spent on road improvement. And DVR is correct....HOWEVER....this taxpayer monies should not even be available by the already bankrupt, overtaxed state!! Erie blvd is working just fine. Just like it did 40 years ago when GE was booming with 40K+ employees.

The bankrupt NYS should NOT be offering this taxpayer's money and the city should NOT be accepting it as Erie blvd is working just fine!!! IMHO

It is a FEDERAL grant that was appropriated and awarded at least 3 years ago.  If not for Senator Clinton
this money would have gone to another city in another state -- thank you Mrs. Clinton and thanks to
Sharon Jordan for requesting the grant.

The Erie Blvd project is more than just a bike path -- and it is a project that is long overdue ---- it will
revitalize an important corridor of the city and bring economic development to it.

You folks are just jealous and upset that during all the years that the GOP ran the county and the city ...
they did NOTHING positive and presided over the closing of ALCO ... the loss of 35,000 jobs at GE and
the flight of many residents out of the city.

Your party and your way of thinking brought down the county and the city ---- we are now turning things
around and making progress on a recovery.

probably because they didn't play well with the union gumba gangstas.........Atlas Shrugged AGAIN......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
