Loser lands a plum

Schenectady County Legislator Ed Kosiur lost to George Amedore in a special Assembly election, but in this case, to the loser also goes the spoils.
Kosiur's fellow Democratic pals rewarded him in defeat by creating a county position that pays $80,000. Not bad in Schenectady, where the average salary is about $28,000.
Citing the Kosiur patronage, several people asked me if they ran for public office and lost would they be in line for a lucrative government job? I told them to ask the Democratic Party bosses.
Just prior to the Assembly election, Kosiur released his family income tax data. He and his wife earned a combined $77,365, but it took three jobs to reach that figure.
By the way, a couple of Al Jurczynski's buddies said the ex-mayor has been crowing that the Kosiur situation will take the heat off him and his past state patronage position. Not going to happen.
Jurczynski held special events and fundraisers for Gov. George Pataki. The governor reciprocated by giving his fellow Republican a $120,000 a year political plum.

Was it one of the farms west of the City of Schenectady that a sex offender ran, to get away from all those kids????

I think the taxpayers are running out of feed since the ethanol boom......

Well shadow, we have dinosaurs running the county legislature, so perhaps it won't be too far off, huh?

Schenectady County and good government.  Watch out overhead, think those pigs are coming through.  Maybe they'll fly lower first?

Pigs flying would actually work quite well, with all the pork Schenectady County has in the budget.

When Jesus cast the demon(called legion) from the boy in the herd of pigs, the pigs ran off the cliff and into the water where they died. The townfolk asked Jesus to leave because their money (where they hearts were), just disappeared over the cliff.

Sounds like politics to me.....

Some folks like flying pigs and others find it scary.....
