Rumor has it that Price chopper is going to expand it's store at the intersection there of Altamont Ave & Curry Rd.  Build on more and demolish the little shopping strip (where Radio Shack is/was)

Anyone else hear that?

I heard they were going to do that in Malta. Perhaps they are going to do it at the Rotterdam store also.

No, I haven't, but that's what they originally did.  That store used to be the CENTER of that strip, with a Fays (Now Eckerd) at the far end.

Maybe we will be priviledged to have the deli that they have in Slingerlands I think it's called Dave and Johns or something like that.....oooohhh,,,,good stuffs,,,slightly expensive but good for a treat......they have cheesecake in this cinnamon pastry---just FABULOUS.....

I talked with someone from Price Chopper and there is no plans to do anything to the Altamont Ave. store. It will stay the same.
