That Savage, she should have enrolled in politics 101! She made a lot of people mad, but the Republicans probably can't get anyone to run against her since nobody wants to get involved. And the few Republicans or conservatives we got, although they aren't perfect, they seem to be eaten up by their own, on these here boards. Which I find amusing overall. But they need some fire on their feet to keep them straight. But if we get rid of the Republicans what do we end up with- more of Savages puppets with no minds, just a "YES, MAAM" vote. More SCCCs andf more Library deals like the one that was just put down for the count.

I am learning that in life we can't ever get the perfection we want, but half a loaf is usually better than the crumbs. I wish more people would get involved but its only professional politicians that come out to run for office now usually.

When does Savage run for election?

Savage is up for reelection in 2009.  So are all the county legislators who were not elected in 2007.  The only exception is the appointee who just took over has a special election this year.

District 4 has Joe Surhada and Judy Dagostino's positions up for election.  I assume that both of these candidates would be running for re-election, as well as having someone on their own sides of the aisle trying to run for the positions.

It is becoming more difficult to see a distinction between the parties.

I agree JoAnn, both parties have lost touch with the people who elected them and both continue to ignore the wishes of the people.

our officials appear to be rinky-dinky life preservers tossed into the sea of crap by folks who dont know what else to do to 'protect the status quo', the hell with future ideas or the whole picture.......it could almost be as dangerous as alaskan king crab fishing......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
