.....that Mayor Stratton may be unwilling to conduct debates in every neighborhood because he stutters at times is as insensitive and irresponsible...
Clearly this is not insensitive or irresponsible for a reporter to state this FACT! IT IS WHAT IT IS!!! So Mr. Stratton stutters. He has a speech impedement. So what? It didn't stop him from being elected. And let us not forget that it became PUBLIC RECORD, when he used his Brian Stratton Fund to seek medical attention for the impedement. So what is the big deal?
Let's get on to more important issues like his inablity to govern a city instead of his inability to speak. Who cares?

Congress must get over McNulty's error First published: Monday, October 1, 2007
It is a very rare instance when you would link Rep. Michael McNulty's name to controversy that points a finger in his direction at wrongdoing. In this rare instance, the controversy involves Rep. McNulty's action last Aug. 2 when, while temporarily chairing the House of Representatives, he prompted a vote in favor of the Democrats. The bill that was voted on was to stop paying for the housing of illegal immigrants. Certainly one would assume that it would be defeated. However, for some reason the Republicans were in the process of changing the vote to their favor, and Mr. McNulty banged the gavel before the process was completed.
In the rush of the late hours an honest mistake was made, to the benefit of the people as far as I am concerned.
Rep. McNulty apologized the next day , and, in my view, that should have ended the matter. But an investigation is ongoing.
Michael McNulty has been re-elected at least 10 consecutive times. His integrity is beyond question. He was reelected by a 70 percent plurality. He is well liked among his constituency. He is called the peace maker in Albany County. His door is always open any time of the working day and there is no rank in the party that he looks down to.
A mistake was made. Let's get on with the real troubles we are having in Washington and hope the 2008 elections will fix them.

Wow!!! Don't you just love when the liberal media comes to the defense of any political figure that belongs to the democratic party. I'm tellin ya, the dems are a 'brush it under the rug' party and ALWAYS has been. Thank God they have the media to help them along, huh? I don't believe the reps have every had this luxury.

He has been re-elected eight times without much difficulty.
Good thing the Democratic party never stated that they actually run on the facts. You know, Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Although, I have to give him credit, he didn't check his facts on the amount of votes that McNulty got in his re-eletion effort, either, he actually didn't get 70% as listed in the article, but 78%.
There is one point in this article I agree with though. And with voting in new people, we CAN make this difference.

Sorry guy/girls, but if that is the only option we have for increased revenue is to become a 'tourist' attraction, than there goes any decent salaries that we were promised by our local government.
If this did become a reality, it would clearly have to be privately owned with NO expectations of our tax dollars supporting it. AND without metroplex donations. Ya know...the way businesses are suppose to develop.

The sport hasn't been the same since Mark Martin left, and before that when Earnhardt died. I do believe the residents would come unglued if there was talk of a NASCAR track here. Think of the revenue, think of the headaches from a municipal standpoint. My personal thoughts.....it would be a blast.
I say in stead of the truck stop right off the Thurway / I-88 or maybe out in a clear field in D'Burg. Wonder how much Proctors would make on the weekend of the race from their bed taxes.
would the truckers have to pay a 'bedding fee'???? that would just be another NYS cost of doing business-let's drive 'em out, raise the cost of goods......
in NYS we tend to want to 'put it on another's back'--'they will do it for me'--'they are the bad guy, give me what is rightfully mine mine mine(even though it is someone else's)'.......
we are only as free as the stuff we keep on our backs/in our houses/our cars/our clothes/our food/our sewers/our lights etc etc.........
I wonder if Proctors receives any lotto $$ under the guise of "Arts for Education".......
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
I like the part that says that Mike was never involved in any controversy, remember he who does nothing makes no mistakes.
THE BEST!!
