Via Port Rotterdam adds Mohawk Valley-Erie Canal tourism center

ROTTERDAM - A new tourism center opens at Via Port Rotterdam on Saturday.

The Tribes Hill Heritage Center will highlight historical attractions in the Mohawk Valley and Erie Canal towns and offer bus connections to sites. The center is located near the aquarium inside the mall.

"I'm pleased to be a part of this special event here in our community that is the start of a historic
tourism effort," said Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara in a statement.
