Go to some third world country who is struggling to form a democracy. Tell them that they must vote for their leader. Then tell them to do it the way we do in the USA. If you live in one state, you get 1.7 votes each. If you live in another state, you get to vote with .07 of a vote. In the end you add up all the votes and who ever wins , wins. Good system huh?

Yup...and NOW states are starting to vote to get out of the EU because to a growing number, they lost their sovereignty to Brussels(which is basically controlled by the economic powers in the EU).

Oh, and in reality, the EU is a union of sovereign states. The main action of the EU was to strengthen the economic power of Europe by having the collective Euro states trade their currency under one trading bloc. Then Greece's economy collapsed. And many other EU states economies are in unsustainable debt. Now these these nations within the bloc whose debt to gdp ratio is unsustainable, are at the mercy of the wealthy states that control the EU. Predominantly Germany.
