ROTTERDAM — The Rotterdam Police Department is asking for help from anyone with information on an attempted robbery in Rotterdam Tuesday evening.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., Rotterdam Police units were dispatched to the Sunoco at 1000 Curry Road for an attempted robbery.

The suspect passed a note to the clerk demanding money; however, the robbery attempt was interrupted by another customer entering the store. No weapon was displayed or implied during the attempt.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction from the store and is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a white Under Armour zip-up hooded sweatshirt. He had light blue jeans and blue sneakers with white accents. The suspect was also wearing a white or light-colored baseball hat with blue trim.
