Cissy thinks we fight wars with carpenters and diesel mechanics. He keeps on posting about things he knows nothing about.
I am going off of the diesel mechanics experience in Afghanistan. Based on his experience, it was combat experience, and no diesel mechanic experience. Maybe he's lying since the army world NEVER expect a diesel mechanic to be in combat.(since he isn't trained for combat)

You don't know $hit so you post $hit...stop embarrassing yourself with ignorant statements! Box said you post things you know nothing about...I AGREE. Then again, if you posted only things you actually had knowledge about, that were true, I guess you'd disappear from this forum, cuz you'd have nothing to post! DUMBA$$
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

We all know how Cicero distorts the FACTS, but in this case, maybe Cicero is innocent... just DUMB! Cicero's post: I know a kid that joined the army reserve to be a diesel mechanic. (So far so good) He was sent to Afghanistan and never worked on one diesel engine. Did he work on Gasoline engines?? Did he sweep up the motor pool while a more experienced mechanic did the diesel engines? I know a USMC cook, who never cooked his first year in the Marines. He prepped food. He carried boxes of food from storage to the actual ranking cooks. He cleaned up and assisted the cook.
So... My cook and Cissy's diesel mechanic didn't get to practice their trade when they first entered the services. IF Cicero knew anything at all, he'd know that the least experienced often has to put in their time before they get "hands on"'
I wonder if Cissy would expect a PFC with 6 months in the Army to serve as Company Commander in a war zone??? After all, that PFC was trained to be an infantryman.
NOTE TO CISSY:

I hate to burst your bubble.... but part of what Cicero says DOES happen, whether you want to believe it or not..
My son is in his seventh year in the USAF, trained in Aircraft Armament..while at Bagram, he ROUTINELY served guard duty and has shrapnel scars in his back to prove it.... He also was ordered to serve in equipment convoys.. of course, after he had a grand total of 6 hours of additional weapons training...The military has you serve at their discretion, and they follow protocol when its convenient.

Not bursting my bubble...well aware of how it works. What Sissy claims, however, is that the military training this a$$hole received is what gave him the SNIPER skills and war combat rules of engagement and avoidance that he used in his attack...and that is clearly FALSE! As you said, for convoys, your son had to have additional training. Sniper did NOT receive any additional engagement type training beyond the basic skills...his additional training was masonry and carpentry, and that is what his role was in Middle East.
Just an FYI...I served in USMC and well aware of how everything works. My MOS was LEGAL, but in Vietnam I carried a rifle and 45, drove various vehicles and only did legal work for about 1 month prior to leaving country...so yes, as with your son, we do what they want us to do and we receive the basic skills to perform those other duties.
I hope your son is doing well and there is no permanent damage from the shrapnel. I appreciate his service.

When I was in the service... everyone stood guard duty. Guard duty is NOT combat. Everyone is at some danger in a combat zone. The typist, the dentist, the diesel mechanic, the cook the baker... they are all at some risk. The cooks or typists or diesel mechanics or dentists do not normally serve in combat operations against the enemy. Just like your dinner is not cooked by infantrymen, nor is your Humvee serviced by infantrymen or do infantry specialists take care of your teeth.
This topic seems to be founded on people who have no idea about war, but post as if they did.

The self defense school that the shooter allegedly attended to receive combat training(of course he didn't learn it during his 6 years in the U.S. Army, his 12 months in combat in Afghanistan, he learned it in 6 months at this school)
BEWARE OF THESE TRAINED KILLERS WALKING THE STREETS. THEY WERE TRAINED AT THIS SNIPER SCHOOL.

From his Army training the shooter learned BASIC rifle skills. The rest of the time he spent learning carpentry and masonry skills.
So what did he learn in his Private (Not MILITARY) training. How to shoot, move, avoid being discovered, using what ever is available to hide his position and use the terrain and lighting to continue to be effective shooting at his targets.
From your post: ~~~~~DYNAMIC MOVEMENT DRILLS~~~~~~ This is the tactic that the Dallas shooter used to confuse police about how many shooters there actually were. (Early reports suggested 2 or more shooters) It worked. ~~~~~Consealment~~~ Cell phone video shows the shooter moving to areas where his shots would be less obvious, not always the easiest shot

Well here is Sissy and his dumbness at it's best, once again. To start with, training at the school offered:
Quoted Text
Summary of Course Contents: - Firearms safety - How and why the firearm functions as it does - Fundamentals of shooting - Safe handling and movement drills - Stance, presentation, and grip - Proper drawing & presentation of the firearm - Instinctive point shooting - Shooting from different positions - High volume dryfire drills - Drawing under stress - Drawing from concealment - Concealed carry considerations - Shooting around barriers - Speed & Tactical Reloading - Dynamic movement - Scenarios - and much more!
Obvious Sissy has no clue what that training actually means.

The gunman who killed five police officers at a protest march had practiced military-style drills in his yard and trained at a private self-defense school that teaches special tactics, including "shooting on the move," a maneuver in which an attacker fires and changes position before firing again.
Quoted Text
On Friday, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings described Johnson as "a mobile shooter" who had written manifestos on how to "shoot and move."
As for "...12 months in combat in Afghanistan"...well, another Sissy made up bull$hit lie:
Quoted Text
He and the rest of his unit had received a hero’s send-off as they departed for Afghanistan the previous November. On a date that his lawyer sets as “somewhere around 7 July 2014,” Micah Johnson arrived without the rest of the 284th Engineer Company at the unit’s home base in Seagoville, Texas.
Now in my book, that just doesn't add up to 12 months!
and again, "...combat..."???? REALLY SISSY! You don't realize that there is a difference between serving in a combat zone versus being "in" combat!
Quoted Text
But by numerous reports, Johnson and his Army Reserves engineering unit did not see so much as a moment of combat.

Joe. Cicero knows all about guns and sniper tactics. He watched a movie about it once.

Early reports from Baton Rouge... 3 police killed, 4 others wounded.
I am appalled at this news. Others on this board, feel the opposite.
