I am confused as to why Schenectady can't deploy their road crews during evening hours.. Erie Blvd is one of the highest traveled thoroughfares in the whole of Schenectady County.. |

Riefenburg construction is a union shop. They did the first phase of construction on Erie Blvd as well as this phase. They are also doing the site work at the casino and the Mohawk harbor. They were also awarded the contract by NYS DOT for the 890 project. Union or not any construction company would be required to pay the prevailing wage so the cost is the cost. It would be more expensive to do the work during the night. This has nothing to do with city crews. |

I thought it was Union. I don't know how to differentiate between the Riefenburg companies. I was only correcting the original posts regarding the city of Schenectady. It was interrupted as the city was doing the work which is not the case. |
