Can you imagine having a co/town tax bill of roughly $2,500 a year ago and be just under $6,000 this year.

then ya need to MOVE!!!!

folks need to get involved in their city/town budget process....or don't bit@h.

contracted union wages/benefits are rising...taxes will only continually go up for that fact alone.

so take some personal responsibility and MOVE!!

some areas have high taxes but at least you get the services you pay for.

FACT....there are no jobs.....the economy went to sh!t....businesses are closing at record speed.....the stock market is in a downward spiral.....so take personal responsibility and plan accordingly.

The author of this thread is implying that tax rates have more than doubled in the past year.  They haven't.  Looks like the same old sh*t from the same old nayboobs in the new year.  Enough said.

DV cannot read.  Where did I say tax RATE?   Well, please quote the EXACT words.        Go back to school and learn to READ

Ah, but this is from the non-taxpayer who cheers and cheers for increases in taxes.

So people are so flush with money that a tax increase like that doesn't bother them.

If the tax rate did not go up than there has to be another explanation for the increase in the tax bill.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Such as the property was improved so as to have a higher value.  The town doesn't just go around raising individual tax bills for no good reason.
