They should name it after the taxpayers since they will be paying for it 100 years or more.
Of course, the other alternative is to sell the naming rights for a billion dollars to lighten the debt owed by us taxpayers.

How dare you suggest privatizing a bridge! Government is the only entity that can create and maintain that miracle called roads.
Although I would not be opposed to privatizing the Tappan Zee or any other bridge, I didn't suggest privatizing - I suggested selling the naming rights just like they did with the Knickerbocker-Pepsi-TimesUnion Arena.

Fair enough. I guess by doing so, by having the names of the large corporations on the bridges. It would be a clear indicator to the American people of who the politicians actually work for. It should be called the Northrop Grumman War Memorial bridge.
