According to recent reports all 3 EACH have surpassed 1 trillion in debt.   And now there are plans afoot to write off/delay some student loans.   Accountability?  The next bubble?

Tax the rich!  There is no reason people should have to pay for school, cars, or credit card purchases.

Are you SERIOUS??

Wow.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

College tuition has gone up way too much.  A lot of it is due to over-aggressive building programs and growing too fast.
The College of St Rose is an example of that.  Grew too fast - built too many new buildings - added too many programs.  Now, it can't afford to maintain it all.

Do you suippose teachers pay/pensions have anything to do with rising tuition?   What % of the college budget goes to this.   The NYS lottery likes to boast how much the gambling revenue hepls education(pay/pensions).   What % goes for pay/pensions?   One would think if teachers/Adm. were that devoted to the educational cause they would freeze pay/tuitions for the benefit of the students.

Most colleges hire adjunct faculty, which is basically part-time staff, so that they don't have to pay benefits.  The days of full-time professors, associate professors, etc. is pretty much over.  However, college presidents and college coaches seem to be able to get fairly high 6 figure annual salaries.  Go figure.

I believe that the NYS Lottery only goes to fund Pre K-12 Public education in NYS and not college and university education.
