ROFLMAO -- The he/she nayboob still can't accept that the majority of the city is very happy with the great job that Mayor McCarthy is doing.

Yeah, ROFLMAO.

YOUR WORDS, DV, the "majority of the city..."

I challenge you to do the math, DV.

In the city based on the 2015 final official assessment roll, there are 7,147 houses with the STAR Basic exemption and there are 2,494 houses with the STAR Enhanced exemption.   That is a total of 9,641 houses that are owned and occupied by at least one individual.

So we know the FACT is that there are at least 9,641 residents of the city that are adults of voting age.

McCarthy got 4,661 votes.  Since we know that it is FACT that there are at least 9,641 people in the city of voting age, then, we know it is a FACT that 4,979 people in the city did NOT vote for McCarthy.

So DV, please explain how 4,661 is a majority of the people of the city?   On what basis do you claim that "the majority of the city voted for McCarthy."   Please explain, can you do that?  Of course, not, avoid responding to how I once again proved you a LIAR.

The 9,641 proves owner occupant, the rest of the residential properties could be owned by absentee landlords who would not be eligible to vote.

But realize this DV, the fact that 9.641 houses are owned and occupied by people who are able to vote for mayor, does NOT mean that only 9.641 residents in the city are eligible to vote.

You should know this by the house in which you live.  It is ONE house, ONE STAR exemption, but TWO owners/taxpayers, but three adults eligible to vote.

So figuring that even if half of the 9,641 are owned by married couples, that substantially proves a larger majority of the city were NOT happy with McCarthy.

Then figure renters too.

DV, the 2010 census of the city was OVER 66,000, and if half were children, please explain how your claim that 4,661 votes for McCarthy out of about 35,000 eligible voters is a majority.

Answer?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

You claim the is so wonderful, so explain why YOU won't have ANYTHING TO DO WHATSOEVER with buying a house IN the city, not even renting IN the city?

When did you move into the city?  When have you actually ever shown a positive interest in and/or done something positive for the city?  Basically, you two come across as rambling, rabid, pathetic, miserable and generally boring malcontents

As for me -- not that it has anything to do with the topic --  my family has lived in Rotterdam for over a century.  Yet, we have ALWAYS had a personal interest in and supported entities within the city ..   parishes (i belong to, attend, am involved in and support 2 city parishes, business .. even a family business in the city at one time -- and the Mont Pleasant Neighborhood Association).

Oh -- and despite your asinine attempt to prove you know anything.   Mayor McCarthy did receive a MAJORITY of the vote of those who cared enough to vote.  Obviously, the folks who didn't vote did so for a variety of reasons -- bottomline .. they didn't think it was a high enough prioroty to vote and to change the leadership of the city.   You - despite your endless whining and complaining - obviously didn't care enough to move into the city and vote -----------------so ---- the awesome news is that a majority of the folks think that Mayor McCarthy is doing a good job as Mayor.
