To those atheists who hate Christianity and Christmas and for those extremists who think a picture on a coffee cup is worth fighting over: May Rudolf and the 8 reindeer sh*t in your Keurig -- at least it will taste better than Starbuck's coffee.
The rest of us will keep Christmas in our hearts and exercise our Constitutional rights to worship and proclaim the birth of our Savior publicly. We will also fight the more important battles in regard to our religious liberty but a cup isn't worth fighting over. |

Christmas... That time of year when those with little or no money are forced to buy buy buy on credit to "celebrate" a day that should involve the birth of Christ, but instead is centered around $$$. Those "christmas" credit bills will usually be paid off by October... when it starts all over again.
Christmas is a scam of big business forced on the American public. The solution? Celebrate the birth of Christ, not the bottom line at Walmart. |

Forced? How are they "forced"? Does someone have a gun to their head...or their family? Are they "forced" to buy presents just like they are "forced" to buy lotto tickets, or take/sell drugs, or get tattoos??? They're not....Presents and ALL the above are choices.. |

Quoted from HarryP Except health insurance
BINGO!!!
So... Q. Who paid for their health insurance before these people were FORCED to pay for their own??? A. You and I of course. Before ObamaCare, anyone with out health care insurance would end up at a hospital ER and be treated for the flu or for a sprained ankle, or for pneumonia, or for most other illnesses. Isn't it better that THEY pay for their health care bills, instead of WE pay for their health care bills? |

And you think that still doesn't happen? Ask any ER nurse or Doc if they have seen a significant dropoff in it... And the majority (recently insured) that "pay" for insurance, actually don't... they end up on medicaid..which means we are still paying for it. Like I've said from the start, giving everyone health insurance is not a bad thing, but it will cost all of us more. I just got word from my employer that my rates are going up 8.5% this year, which is in the range of the increases before ObamaCare.... the only ones that aren't having their rates go up are ones who never paid for it anyway. |

"The ones who never pay anything anyway???" You mean like YOU AND I if our life had turned out differently? If you had a serious illness, or accident that left you unable to work... wouldn't you be one of those "The ones who never pay anything anyway???" ObamaCare took those who could not pay out of the ER and put them into a doctor's office.

Average expenses for people who had one or more visits to the Emergency Room were $1390 in 2012, according to the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). Median, or typical, cost was $713.For people ages 45 to 64, the cost was substantially higher on average ($1851).

Ummm, no because as part of my benefits package I have short and long term disability which includes medical coverage...But that's not the point and not what I am stating... The fact of the matter is, whether you want to face it or not, is there is a certain segment of our population that does NOT pay for medical care. Your assumption is anyone that now has medical care will go the Doctors office and not the ER for a non-life threatening issue.....sorry, but not all do... whether be by habit or some other reason.... My cousin is an ER nurse (and a democrat) and a family friend is a Doc...they both say the same thing... many WITH medical coverage go to the ER for something they shouldn't simply because they don't want to wait until Monday or the morning.... |

No doubt that is true. Those who have never had medical coverage might not know that the best cheapest and shortest way for medical coverage is at the DR office, not the ER. |

Just like the simplest way to avoid having an abortion is to not get pregnant in the first place...universal birth control will do more for poor women (and men) economically than just about anything I can think of. What chance does a 20 year old woman have with 4 kids? But, like the Doctor's office/ER thing, this must be pushed in the schools... |
